I guess I named this thread poorly the last time I posted it because no one was interested. However this was too good not to share so I've re-posted the message as another name.

I just got back from the New York Big Smoke and all I can say is wow! Although it was hot and a bit like cattle call at the slaughterhouse, this is something every cigar lover has to do at least once in his life. The cigars were abundant, food and beverage of the highest quality kept coming, and everyone was very friendly. I took home 28 cigars :
Sancho Panza, Dulcinea;
Helix, 550;
Astril, Perfecto #1 Maduro;
Ashton Classic, Double Magnum;
Ramone Allones, Brioso;
Partagas Black Label, Clasico;
Carlos Torano, Exodus 1959 Torpedo;
Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend, and the new "Fire" (which I can't wait to try);
Plasencia Reserva, Organica;
The Cigar, Belicoso;
La Gloria cubana;
El Rico Habano;
Padron;
Arturo Fuente, Double Chateau + a personally autographed picture of Carlos Sr. (real nice man); Avo, Intermezzo XO;
The Griffin's, Fuerte Robusto;
Hoyo De Monterrey, Excalibur 1066, Galahad;
La Flor Dominicana, Reserva Especial;
CAO, Triangular;
Macanudo, Hyde Park;
Cuesta-Rey, Pyramid No.9;
Onyx Reserve;
Don Diego Reserve;
H. Upman, 2000;
Trinidad;
One Off, Nicaragua.

While we were there, food was presented by 6 premier New York restaurants. Everything from filet mignon to hot dogs and pasta. In addition there were 19 beers, wines, scotches, cognacs, ports, and vodkas. If this wasn't a dream event I don't know what is, sort of like the cigar Mecca. I went with 7 other guys from work and we're already planning for next year. Aphrodite, this would have solved your Christmas Shopping problems in spades. It was certainly the best $150. I ever spent. If any of you are claustrophobic, stay away, but other than that, it's the most fun you'll have with your clothes on.

It wasn't lack of interest it was jealousy.

WOW!! Sounds like it's really worth the $150.00. Heck, 28 quality cigars alone (5.35 a piece) makes it worth it. If the Las Vegas one is anything like yours, I'm going!!!!

O.K. I'm turning my head, and I gargeled. I met a couple of Big Smoke junkies at the NY show who said the Las Vegas show is incredible. It runs for a couple of days and includes seminars
