I believe the exact phrase was "by any means necessary".

That means it could be anything from $5 to giving them access to have sex with all our mothers.

Yes, but 54 I can agree with. Though Obamacare needs many fixes, being able to insure people who previously could not get insurance is a good thing. Also Benghazi is done and people should move on, the truth will never be known.

Umm... not sure what you're getting at here. It was a white house petition. They were asking the president to get him back by any means necessary. He did. And it appears he did it legally.

This is just what I found in reading (could be wrong).
Republicans are claiming he broke the law which stated he had to give Congress 30 days notice before releasing guantanamo prisoners.

However. That same law, when he signed it into law, Obama added a signing statement essentially saying that 30 days notice doesn't allow for the separation of powers as it applies to negotiation with foreign countries.... and if the case occurs that the "30 days notice" will restrict his ability to negotiate with foreign "countries" then he's gonna ignore it.

So... this kind of comes down to whether the Taliban are criminals or foreign powers. And guess what... our favorite president Bush actually set this precedent when he declared war on them. I said it about a million times, it's a bad idea to treat terrorism as a foreign entity and not simply criminals in need of police action. But no, everyone ignored me back then. Guess what... this is what we get.

That's a fair enough statement. Perhaps I should hedge a bit and say "some commentators in the right wing".

There's also a funny article with pics of tweets congresspersons deleted from their feed celebrating the return of bergdahl... I wouldn't attribute much to it, but it's funny when you think of the poor staffers/low end PR monkeys who have to keep re-doing the online statements.

To be fair, the conservative groups call dems the same thing when there's any suggestion they don't support the troops as well. It's a pretty common chip to play.
