Suddenly seeing one of my favorites - Aging R0om Small Batch - on those other, evil, don't-even-bother-looking-for-them auction and so-called discount sites and, for the first time that I have noticed, in the Mothership's mailed-out catalog.

Lastly the best B&M around here says he is not going to carry them anymore, not because of the cigars, but because the company is so horrible to deal with.

Something going on with Nodel?

Should I be worried?

They're one of my faves, too. I just picked up a fiver to see if they're the same. These cigars, for some reason, seem better fresh.

Let us know if you feel the blend has changed, I can grab a bunch of "good" ones at the B&M if I need to do that (ouch, retail!).

The ones I've bought before were from other on-line stores at decent discount, but not as low as they are selling for now. Haven't bought one at a local yet, but may do so just to try a three-way comparison. I don't like retail, either, and in SoCal, it's usually MSRP plus all the taxes and fees

I've got some of the "cheap" Small Batches coming my way as well now. Will be interesting to see how they compare to the ones I have enjoyed.

Just smoked the first of the "suspiciously inexpensive" small batches. Here be the review.

Packaging seemed normal. Same lable. Same very thick cello. Not even cello realy, thick plastic.

cigar seemed a bit soft and squishy. Not bad but more so than past small batches it seemed. A few small but noticeable veins. Lit easily. Very easy draw - almost too easy. But did not burn noticeably faster. Lasted good long time. Did need a couple of touch ups but needed that with previous SBs as well.

Taste was wonderful. Everything I would expect and more.

Need to try the others for this baatch, but it would not shock me if someone could prove that there is a bit less tobacco in these than in previous ones I've had.

Bought some cheapies on-line too, but they only had the smaller sized one (rondo), not the larger perfecto (forte) I like. Tasted good and burned well, and imho, well worth the money.

Slightly different taste from the forte, but that could be due to the vitola. I'd like to get the larger ones if I can find them at the lower prices, but would settle for the rondos again at that price.

Haven't gone to the B&M yet to see if they have them...

I ashed 1 earlier today and thought it was great…might have been a bit older though.

I like them but it's been a long time since I ashed one. Is $4 each about right or did you find a cheaper source.

I scored the Prestos at another auction site for $2.25 each, a great deal.

The ones I got were $12 for a 5 pack (6inx54)

Of course there was shipping ($6) but that was for whole order and I purchased several other lots as well. So all things considered, with shipping $3-4 depending on size seems to be the discount price they are going for out there. Quite a difference from the retail prices that are still on the web sites

Wonder if they are getting near the end of the supply of the "small batch" tobacco and are clearing things out for their next blend

Maybe, it only took 2 years though.

"Maybe, it only took 2 years though."

Well, small compared to White Owl Grapes, perhaps :) 😊
