{Mistake #1. post corrected)

Need advice to broaden my scope on cigars, because I was introduced to the padron family and became quite a fan. 1st smoke was a padron 4000, stayed with that one for a while then tried the 5000 series.

Everytime I purchase cigars I always tend to buy the same ol smokes. any suggestions? I like the larger stong cigars. Been in the cigar world for about 3-4 months now and can not go back.

I read the reviews written here about the cigars. Generally, I have found thier assessment to be honest and on the mark. Of course there are plenty other sites that have great information. A few tips: Look around for CAO and Aficionado (Cigar 101 is very informative)websites. Google is a good search engine. I would post the websites but don't want to get flamed. :)

As for my "Personal" favorites - I like Macanudos - Now I know that I am going to be flamed.

Welcome referman.

Try different kinds. The reviews are pretty accurate here at CB.

Larger meaning ring size or legnth?

Make sure if you get a "BIG" stick it fits you. You don't want a 8x58 Madoro, Corojo or Puro if you're 5'2. It might look funny and might knock you out.
I'm 6'4 and 315. Try some of the following. I like these:

Try these for ring size and power, (you might want to sit down while smoking these and stretch your jaw)

Padron 5000 (a little sweet though)
CAO Brazilia Amazon
Diesel 5th gear or Hi-Octane
Indian Tabac Camaroon Gorilla Legend
Camacho Corojo (rated 93 from CA)

There are lots of others. Hope this helps you.

If Perdomo makes a cigar I don't like a great deal, I'm not aware of it ... CAO is the same way for me as is Bucanero ... those are some fantastic lines IMNSHO

Love your handle "referman", I also love the Padrons.
Good suggestions here, smoke 'em all and pick what you like and then buy a bunch of them.

Keep the lit end out!

Thanks for the input on the cigar suggestions.

My wife, of all people, started me as well as my brother and he is now craving to smoke cigars on a daily basis.

Smoked a CAO annivesario? Did not really fit my taste like the padrons #4000, #5000.

Thanks again, as I will take the advice.

Referman; Just my 2 cents worth...Fuente Don Carlos, Bucanero Full Sails (A MUST TRY), and El Rico Habano.
