Did anyone watch it. Pre-reports I read on news sites said he was going to push wealth redistribution. I listened to it on the way home, about a few words at a time, hoping to hear the GOP response. Those few words at a time sounded like he was talking to a crowd standing around a pick-up basketball game.

Now that the GOP response is on, she sounds like a 3rd grade teacher on Sesame Street.

Geezus !!!

d'oh!

I just couldn't do any of it!

Yada, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah!

It only serves to piss me off so I shall refrain from yelling at the tv like a mad man.

Pushing wealth distribution? That's been ramping up and going on for decades. Why do you think CEO wages are going through the ceiling while regular workers wages don't keep pace with inflation?

But good news, the Republicans are coaching us to wear bread bags all over our shoes.....

He promised to work with Republicans who agree with him, because he was elected twice so obviously the people who aren't racists like him.

Is that why Boehner is a wuss & his joint meetings always last five minutes?

I kept thinking about Joe Wilson yelling, "You Lie !!"

If a comet or meteor didn't hit DC last night I am really disappointed, it was our only hope.

I only watched about 5 minutes of Obama but I did hear the GOP response given by Senator Joni Ernst.

Here is what I learned from this brief viewing.
First, Obama doesn't really care what anyone thinks about him as this is his last and final term.
Second, it really must have sucked growing up in rural Iowa during the '70's. fog

I'm glad that I gave most of the festivities a pass last night. Beer

It is funny that they have the US Congressional building in Washington wrapped in scaffolding it is an ironic reminder that our government is "Under Construction" and not working well. horse

bla bla bla - lets give more free stuff away - yada yada yada - I made gas prices fall - bla bla bla

Unfortunately, "not working well" is the best outcome we can hope for most of the time. Think what happens when they actually pass some legislation.

I did find it interesting that he's taking credit for falling gas prices after trying to block the oil & gas industries for years... but hey, now that prices are low, let's go ahead and tax gas some more to pay for the free stuff.... and let's rob the Defense to give more money to the enviromentalists to keep fighting oil & gas... d'oh!

Best part of the whole night was when he said he wanted to shutdown Gitmo completely, and the camera panned to the military contingent. The looks on their faces was absolutely priceless. You could almost hear them plotting his eventual demise. You know they were thinking "How do we get this asshat in an open limousine in Texas"? I actually had to rewind the DVR to see it again.

The world is a better place with Obama. How did we survive without him? Race relations have never been better, and we are now friends with the Muslim world. Gas prices being high until the Republican sweep were a good thing because it forced us to look at new alternative energy supplies like Solyndra among others. The Dept. of Justice, the IRS, and other agencies under his watch running wild isn't his fault, and he gets to use executive privilege to make the scandals go away. It is also a great thing he works so hard for America that he has time to take all those needed vacations. His wife must be doing so much good for our country as well. Just look at the school lunch program and the results of that. Yes, Obama has made the world a better place, and all of you are better off with Obama care-I often wonder what goes on we don't hear about. Okay, I can't take it anymore......How this POS POTUS got reelected gels my brain cells thinking about it. The people in "real" power that work his strings behind the smoke and mirrors need to be exposed. They are the one's manipulating our government and need to be dragged out into the streets and.......

I didn't like that idea at all. I think it will just make it harder for you people to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

The best part was when he did the microphone drop on the crowd. It was like a "your momma's so fat..." moment. I love it when he breaks character.
