H-E-A-V-E-N sent in a cigar! I must say I have to smoke some more of these, but the one I smoked was robust, smooth and had some of the very best mixture of flavor I have ever experienced! Thanks Slim!

I pretty much like medium to full-bodied smokes, but this one will make your knees knock if you smoke it on an empty stomach! Great flavor though.

Magnafide --- just got to CI and order a 5-pack. That way you will beat the overbidders ... ;-)

You are more than welcome Charlie ... the ISOM Partagas you sent me was incredibly good. I smoked it up in the Sierra Foothills yesterday (Coloma, near Sutters Mill) and I was in heaven myself ...

Charlie,

Was it sent to you with the cello on or off?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Ya know,I've really enjoyed the couple I've smoked so far. It's like they twisted a La Perla Habana Torp Maduro and a Partagas Black Label together.Yummy!!!

They come out of the box with no cellophane.

This is my absolute favorite cigar to date. I've tried the Ole and Ovation sizes, and the former seems to be the better of the two. Haven't picked up any of the other shapes yet.

Did I mention my local shop sells these? :)

JJ --- I think my description is much more accurate ... ;-)

I honestly think they taste like a cross between a WAOM and a PAM ...

JJ --- interesting statement, coming from someone who has never smoked a 'Work of Art' Maduro ... ;-P Fire that treasure I sent you on Christmas day! I smoked my last one a few months back. Actually, I had one left, but some corporate bigshot from McDonalds offered me so much for it ($50) I had to sell it, since I'm out of work at the moment ...

... all's fine with me, just enjoying my retirement (seems like it anyway, with the job market the way it is these days) ...

Enjoy this period while you have it, Slim. As someone who went through it, I can tell you, it's far better to appreciate it now then to look back (after the next job commences) and wish you would've appreciated it more.

Sure, you have to make some sacrifices (financially), but as long as the hummie is full and your health is intact, life will go on.

Oh yeah...and try to stay away from the hassles of the job search until AFTER the holiday season. If you can, bring it into full throttle come spring. Somehow, the hibernation always seems to bring out the best in you if you're basking in it.

James Taylor said it best (or maybe he was just paraphrasing a famous author) when he sang "the secret of life is enjoying the passing of time."

Yeah I'll smoke it one of these days, it's just I seem to be reaching into the dark side/ISOM humi more often than not.

Guys that is a good point of view, as one who is in the unemployment "lines" and finally got some interviews lined up that look like they have potential! (It is time, since the Humidors are looking pretty barren and empty) The wife would kill me if I were ordering cigars and not working, so sacrafices have to be made........................but just wait till I am back working.........wow, am I gonna order some of the O Maddies and a few other jewels!

xibbumbero --- I'm doing fine in the cigar department ... so far that is ... and I thank you for your concern.

I have 10 humidors that I made sure were well stocked when I had the 'disposable income', so I'm in pretty good shape cigar wise ... at this point in time, anyway.

Let's just hope the economy picks up and the unemployment lines get shorter before too long!

Is this the one that has the red and gold ribbon band? If so, it is one of the Christmas gifts that I gave Mike...hmmm...maybe I'll just have to smoke it!

I'm terrible at 'knowing' them by the bands...and by the time I get them home (or smoked them beforehand), I forget the details...hate details!

... if you don't know them by the band, at least you should be able to tell a 'Natural' from a 'Maduro' ...

... well ... most of the time, anyway!

The Maduro 'O' has the blue satin band with the gold lettering, and it is very dark indeed ... almost black!
