Perdomo is more consistent, AB has a few really good ones.

Buy yourself a Perdomo Edición de Silva maduro and a Alec Bradley Temptus maduro and you'll know the difference.

Rocky Patel is a prick, and most of his cigars suck. He USED to have some good offerings.

From the Duplicate thread, not sure which you are reading:

How long have you been smoking and what are some cigars that you have tried and liked and what have you tried and not liked?

This is also a two-way board... WE may be better able to guide you to smokes in your wheelhouse if you can answer a few questions as well.

All kinds of gurkhas, perdomo,Cao. Been smoking cigars for over 25 years. Smoked a lot of emm to many to remember.
Just dont like the real strong ones. Call me a wimp. Just like mild, flavor, smooth

Aaaaand this pretty well covers my sentiments as well Beer

I would like to give Rocky some love however for spending a TON of time and energy fighting the DC crowd to uphold our Premium cigar smoking rights

AB > Perdomo.

I like some ABs. There are some good RPs too.

^This. Out of the AB I still enjoy the Family Blend and out of Perdomo I enjoy the Lot 23 natural or maduro.

Im 50/50 with all three...rp 2013..1992..cameroon wraps good sticks..imo

Perdomo. Their higher end sticks are good though the champagne and few of the cheaper ones. Not me

Now Larry...Suggestions....Go to store...grab up any Arturo Fuentes 858,hemmingways, short story,chateaux kings,queens....padron
An rp 2013,1992....nirvana,....try em..nice smooth sticks....Then go from there....Listen to advice of the fogs. HOPEFULLY you find what you're looking for..Hell most these guys know ALOT about cigars ...so listen...

Perdomo hands down for me, every one I have tried was a good cigar. AB can be good or bad. Some have construction issues, some are yard gars. That being said some are good cigars.

I'm becoming a padron fan myself, great flavor, great construction, excellent smoke production, smooth. These guys pointed me in this direction and did not steer me wrong. All their serious suggestions have been spot on. Again, read past posts using search. A wealth of info if you dig a little.
It will keep you from asking commonly asked questions.

Another vote for Perdomo as a better overall brand/cigar maker than Alec Bradley and Rocky Patel. Perdomo cigars have been more consistent over the years, it has a decent line-up of mild to medium smokes, well rolled and are priced for everyday smoking. Only complaint is that many of their smokes are 54 ring gauge or more.

I've smoked a variety a Perdomos over the years, one Alec Bradley that was highly rated (meaning a lot of cash was likely thrown at CA ) and I didn't like it.
Perdomo back in 2002/2003 came out with the Estate Selection, they didn't have the leaf to keep it going, great cigar. Fast forward to the ESV 2002, similar characteristics and a great cigar the sun grown is my preference Those are a great Perdomo to try.
