(2015-03-18) — Few people were more excited about Benjamin Netanyahu’s success in yesterday’s election than U.S. President Barack Obama.

Obama, who views Netanyahu “like the father I nearly-never had,” closely followed the Israeli election results. When exit polls indicated a favorable outcome, he Tweeted to his 56.6 million Twitter followers: “OMG…Bibi and Likud make it 3. #NetanyahuDat?”

The president then ordered a senior staffer to take a selfie of Obama (he calls it a ‘staffie’), which he sent via Snapchat to the Israeli leader, with the comment: “Bibi FTW. So…that happened.”

“Israel has no stronger ally than the United States of America, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has no more devoted fan than this president of these United States,” Obama said in an official statement.

Here’s the official presidential Snapchat to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu celebrating his reelection.
“I’m sure that our close relationship, strong alliance and shared principles will only serve to cement the bond I share with my BiBiFF in the coming years,” he added.

A White House spokesman denied Republican accusations that Obama operatives had worked behind the scenes to topple the Prime Minister, and he played down suggestions that Obama was miffed that Netanyahu spoke to a joint session of Congress recently without consulting with him first.

“The President only regrets that he couldn’t get front row tickets to the Prime Minister’s Congressional speech,” said spokesman Josh Earnest. “He’s too respectful of the separation of powers to pick up the phone and call Speaker John Boehner. After all, the Speaker of the House is not Beyoncé or Kanye. One doesn’t just text him to beg for tickets.”

I kinda liked this one until they went off track on exactly *who's* "foreign money" was used...maybe it came from his "stash"?

http://www.examiner.com/article/netanyahu-defeats-obama

Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu's Likud party has won in Israel in this Tuesday's election. It was essentially a blowout, even though the opposition has refused to concede.

Netanyahu claimed victory “against all odds,” and promised to form a new government. The opponent, Herzog, said he would make “every effort” to build a coalition. We'll see how good a loser he is.

Netanyahu's campaign focused on security, while Herzog tried for "economic reform," and kowtowing to Obama and the Palestinians. Yes, right.

In the final days of the campaign, Netanyahu declared himself against the creation of a Palestinian state — which makes sense, considering Israel won that land fair and square. He also promised to expand construction in East Jerusalem, pushing on areas owned by Palestinians as their capital.

On election day itself, Netanyahu protested the foreign funding going to get out the Arab vote, which tells you a lot of what side the foreign funds are on.

Said Bibi:
"There is nothing illegitimate with citizens voting, Jewish or Arab, as they see fit. What is not legitimate is the funding — the fact that money comes from abroad from NGOs and foreign governments, brings them en masse to the ballot box in an organized fashion, in favor of the left, gives undue power to the extremist Arab list, and weakens the right bloc in such a way that we will be unable to build a government — despite the fact that most citizens of Israel support the national camp and support me as the prime minister from Likud."

What foreign money? Barack Obamas.

So, despite being fought tooth and claw by President Obama, Netanyahu has won out. In his attempts to screw over Netanyahu, Obama sent both political advisers and money to Netanyahu's opposition.

One would usually say "Wow, Obama's going to have trouble working with Netanyahu now," but that presumes that Obama has ever, or will ever, work with Netanyahu on anything.

The election results do not exonerate criminal behavior.

http://thehill.com/policy/international/236565-netanyahu-pollster-obama-role-in-election-larger-than-reported

President Obama's role during the Israeli elections was larger than reported, according to a pollster for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party.

What was not well reported (edit: meaning the liberal lapdog media intentionally obfuscated) in the American media is that President Obama and his allies were playing in the election to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu," John McLaughlin, a Republican strategist, said in an interview on John Catsimatidis's "The Cats Roundtable" radio show broadcast Sunday on AM 970 in New York". There was money moving that included taxpayer U.S. dollars, through non-profit organizations. And there were various liberal groups in the United States that were raising millions to fund a campaign called V15 against Prime Minister Netanyahu," McLaughlin said.

He noted an effort to oust Netanyahu was guided by former Obama political operative Jeremy Bird and that V15, or Victory 15, ads hurt Netanyahu in the polls. McLaughlin said the Israeli leader rebounded after delivering a speech to Congress early this month, prompting more critical ads.

V15 was viewed as part of a broader campaign to oust Netanyahu. The group was linked to Washington-based nonprofit OneVoice Movement, which reportedly received $350,000 in State Department grants. Money to OneVoice stopped flowing in November, officials said, before the Israeli elections. After Netanyahu's win, V15 co-founder Nimrod Dweck said in an interview with Ronan Farrow aired on MSNBC's "Jose Diaz-Balart" that "not a single cent" of State Department or taxpayer money had gone to their campaign". These are false allegations and they have nothing to do with reality," Dweck said.

McLaughlin also cited an effort "to organize the [Israeli] Arabs into one party and teach them about voter turnout. The State Department people in the end of January, early February, expedited visas for [Israeli] Arab leaders to come to the United States to learn how to vote," McLaughlin said. "There were people in the United States that were organizing them to vote in one party so they would help the left-of-center candidate, Herzog, that the Obama administration favored," he added.

Already tense relations between Obama and Netanyahu escalated this week after Netanyahu's pre-election promise to not allow a Palestinian state. He later backed down after White House criticism, though Obama suggested in an interview released Saturday he wouldn't brush off the comments. "They were running an ACORN, Obama Organizing for America-type campaign over there with the digital ads, the billboards, the phones. They were targeting Israeli voters," Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) said Saturday on Fox News's "Justice with Judge Jeanine." "I think the president, Tuesday night, felt like he lost," said Zeldin, who along with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has questioned the Obama administration over OneVoice's funding and nonprofit status.

_______________________________________________________________

If State Department personnel spent 1 minute of time doing what has been reported - arranging expedited visas and travel - then taxpayer money has in fact been spent on this. So who will be heading up the committee to bring indictments over this?

OneVoice needs to be immediately audited - as was Acorn. Who specifically rubber stamped a government grant to this organization, and what were the grounds for it? It's not just water under the bridge since Netanyahu won the battle - this is obviously a war - and the war criminals need to be rounded up and held for trial.
