Sorry Bear. I guess the Honeymoon is over.

Jules no need for jealousy. You hold a special place also.

I love meeting new folks but there's just something about seeing old buddies at this event.

Not to suck up, because I'd never suck up to Ray, but a big THANK YOU for doing this for all of us. And Thank You seems like an understatement. Ray, you're a good man for hosting

It's all good Blu.
I would go with the 7th thru 9th next year if it don't mess with everyone's Easter on the 16th

So, what I get from all that is 1) Adrian needs a Bear hug 2) I need to keep a close watch on Mattie2Fish around my Grumpie 3) Mattie2Fish has issues making new friends and 4) Fishboy is low on peanuts and we should all bring him more as a host gift.

Us either!

In case I forgot to mention this, L and 2X on shirts. Oh yeah, and put us on the "barring major disaster, we are coming" list, please!

The next big event on our calendar after tomorrow happens way south of here. (unless Grumpie forgot to tell me about something else between now and then)

Whoop whoop, I'm already mentally packing.Herfing

Should you really be asking a question like that in an online forum from people like us who are likely to give you really smart but very bad advice?

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what "Ballons" are, but I have a feeling that my late mother would not approve. When I am faced with a moral dilemma such as you seem to face here, I ask myself a very simple question. "What would Mikey do?" I then do the opposite and it has helped to keep me out of trouble many times.

As I am not sure if "Ballons" is a substance or a person, all I can say is that I have the greatest respect for you and hope that you chose wisely in this instance. If however, you do not and then find that you have developed an addiction issue, you are welcome to come to Moose Manor to participate in our residential treatment program. We take pride in our treatment methods here. Rest assured that you will find your sobriety once we lovingly place a snow shovel in your hands and set you to clear your own path both spiritually and literally.

As far as I can see FGM has four posts regarding the dates.

On 11/13/2015 FGM posted: Dates are April 14-17
On 11/17/2015 FGM posted: Dates are April 14-17
On 11/19/2015 FGM posted: Dates are April 14-17
On 12/06/2015 FGM posted: Dates are April 14-17

I haven't seen FGM post any other dates. Since it's at his cabin, I can only assume that he has final say.

I'm gonna show up April 14 unless I hear otherwise from Ray.

Usually you cuz you walk. Well at least Erv said the other day, "I can't believe Propadope walked to MS all the way from MI." I said "yep, he's a crazy dude to do that" dude was like I haven't walked that much in my lifetime. I started LMMFAO .

It's only 918 miles from my door to FGM's camp and I was never late. Always early. The only problem is when the river is in flood stage. That adds a couple days.
Maybe Erv will join me next year.
Remember I always have a ride back home.

How much longer? It is time to herf!!!

Hey, do y'all still need us to bring chainsaws? We would be happy to do so. We just have to keep them away from the Hosejockeys. With their known parking issues, I would hate to see them with a tool even more dangerous than a K-12.Whistle

Hmmmm, today is March 8, so 23 days left in this month + 14 in April = 37 days or 5 weeks and 2 days.

If you have any allergies, please let bluwater know( so we can make sure to get you a double dose of whatever it is you are allergic to... )

And don't forget to be prepared to fill the Tip Jar...TJ said it best a while back, consider what you would pay to eat out like Southern Royalty for 3 days and Tip accordingly to help defray food costs. I know from past experience that produce alone usually runs between $75 and $150 depending on the overall menu. But the Chef brings everything else normally and that adds up fast.

Some of the tasks that will need to be performed to ease the burdens

Sous Chefs for each meal
Loaders/unloaders of the heavy stuff into/out of vehicles
The fishin monitors...transporting people and equipment to and from the lake. (Mattie's in charge)
The shooting monitors are pretty much taken care of but we still need transportation and cleanup
trash picker uppers
trash hauling to the dump up the road
"stealing" beer from TJ's cooler
Pouring Da General plenty of drinks
washing dishes as needed (load and run dish washing machine)
being mandoman's "beotch" and make sure he has his "finger" of Scotch
vehicle washers (this task is for first timers, and they must wash the herf host and da chefs' vehicles) Gotta be a bit of "hazing" goin on friggen noods slipped on this at the 8th and 9th
cigar smokers
cabin clean-up duties like sweeping the floor and wiping down the counters, etc
guitar players
tour guides
catch of the day cleaners (bass and bream)
I am sure there are some tasks that I am forgetting

items to bring also that would be of use by all.

Paper towels
toilet paper
trash bags
ice
drink mixers
Paper Plates
Plastic utinsels
Red Solo Cups
Boiled peanuts (for the host of course )

other items needed

Cigars (there is a "community" table set up every year, bring some of your favs to share)
Booze
Beer
towel if you plan on washing the funk off
A chair to sit on
