"This is not just a problem for countries on the coast or for certain regions of the world. Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune," the president said. "So I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. And so we need to act -- and we need to act now."

OK, I believe global warming is real. But how does it become a threat to national security is beyond me. As far as impacting how our military defends our country WTF? Guess a lot of people are drinking cool aid again.

I take it that you have never seen Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. There will be roaming gangs of leather clad bi-sexual motorcycle thugs ravaging the land in search of any remaining resources. Anxious

Rising waters could be a HUGE problem. Places like New Orleans, the Florida Everglades, etc. will be dramatically impacted as waters rise.

Yeah, but they're in the South. We don't actually care about those places.... they're like the Africa of the United States.

New Orleans is doomed. Katrina showed how. Next big storm surge in the northeast could put a hurtin' on NYC- Sandy almost did. I'm glad I'm 1300 ft. above current sea level.

I swear that strange african language of yours sounds just like a bunch of clicks and pops to those of us in the north.
