Do her family values eschew birth control pills or some other form of contraception even when one is not married, but still engaging in intercourse?

When, exactly, has the Palin clan lectured us?

I must have missed it.

So Bristol raked in $262,000 being an abstinence spokesperson in 2009?
This was after she was knocked up the first time.

Sorry but I like Palin.

If your child was a crack head does that mean you're a poor parent?

I grew up in a anti alcohol family, but I had beer in college. Does that mean my parents failed?

Of course not.

Her daughter is a grown woman and makes her own decisions!!!

As parents we all pray out children follow the guidance we give them. But in the end, they make their own decisions....especially when adults.

Quit blaming others for the actions of the stupid.

Don't fall into that trap Frank.

People can have "family values" and still have problems at home. I don't know why the media loves to jump on the Palin family. Well, actually I do. Because the media isn't merely biased. They're really most sincerely biased.

True, and I not a fan of Palin nor a hater.

"Blessed are they that do His Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." (Revelation 22:14-15 KJV)

Quote:

The "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone" incident is one of the most well-known lessons of the Bible. A woman, who had been caught in the act of adultery was brought to Jesus Christ by the scribes (see Lawyers) and Pharisees as a test to see if the Messiah was a liberal in matters of the Law of God. In response to their deceitful query, He didn't condemn the woman, not because He was a liberal, not because He condoned her sin, but because the men who brought the woman to Him were Hypocrites. He was the only person there that day who was free of sin, the only one who had the right to "cast the first stone." He didn't stone her (or her accusers), but instead forgave her and told her to "sin no more." Otherwise, the day is coming when she, if she didn't thereafter repent, won't be stoned, but will be burned - along with the hypocrites who brought her to Him that day, if they didn't thereafter repent of their sin.

Bristol made over million dollars making speeches pushing "abstinence only".

Jobs she got due her well connected mother. So it is kinda Sarah's fault too.

I wonder what Bristols favorite abstinence position is.......

Quit the butt hurt, it's just like congress and obama imposing the ACA on everyone but themselves.

In the unlikely circumstance that you personally paid to get that message and it didn't support abstinence, ask for a refund.

So we are not mad at congress and Obama for not covering themselves under obammy care (forgetting for the moment the part about employer provided health care) or we are mad at this hypocrite and her family?

I get so confused.

I don't really care about either. They both ring hollow.

I agree on confused. Could not care less about the Palin family, but I am struck by the hate they attract.

As for congress my frequent reference to them as the parliament of whores pretty much sums up my opinion.

While I'm amused to no end by this, some of the arguments are true... We don't laugh if an anti-drug politician's kid is found in the gutter od'ed on heroin.
(Well, I kind of do... But the general population doesn't)

However, it isn't Palin's statements which make this deliciously ironic, it's Bristol's herself. Those groups that paid her for her abstinence work should be asking for a refund, since she's destroyed any message they paid her to deliver.

She's like a poster child for how abstinence education doesn't work.

She's like a poster child for how abstinence education doesn't work as effectively as it would combined with birth control education.

Well Gene, Palin markets herself as a combination of GOP Barbie and Bible Spice. Less than lovable characters to those whom are not far right. Add to that her history of saying things like members of SCOTUS should be impeached and, well, you get the picture....

I don't disagree about actually having family values and yet still having problems at home...I have family values and have my share of problems at home. Sure, I chuckled about the Palin ho, but I actually care about people with these issues, including the Palins.

It's the preaching and looking down on an opposing political group that gets me. Owning morality, very unattractive.

Mattie, I don't blame the parents when the kid can't keep her legs closed. All we can do is teach the right thing, push 'em out of the nest, and hope they do that right thing forever....but just get off the stage already and take care of stuff with quiet dignity.

This is the problem with Sarah, she obviously didn't teach her kid the right thing, and she wants the rest of us to teach our kids the same way.

I have no idea what sort of mother Sara Palin actually is, but I do know good parents that have one child that grew into an excellent citizen and another in jail. Not all kids accept all education.

It seems that the only people who know how to raise children are childless. If you don't think so, just ask a few of them.

Democrats noted, before and after today's announcement, that Palin took a hard line on a question in 2006 from the conservative Eagle Forum Alaska:

Q: Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of for explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?

SP: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.
