BREAKING NEWS: Four Marines were reportedly killed Thursday at a Chattanooga, Tenn., Navy training center, in one of two attacks at area military facilities that happened nearly simultaneously and just seven miles apart.

The Marines were killed by a gunman who opened fire at a Naval Reserves Operations Center on Amnicola Highway, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Marilyn Hutcheson, who works at Binswanger Glass just across the street from the Naval Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway, said she heard a barrage of gunfire around 11 a.m.

That's a pretty short sighted view of the world if you think someone who wants to obtain a weapon with which to shoot people is not going to be a fan of weapons being easier to obtain.

No. I don't think gun laws keep anyone safe. I mean, I suppose they may at some extremes. If your neighbor nukes the other neighbor, you may be less safe... But I don't particularly care. I was just pointing out that he would likely have wanted less restrictions on guns over more.

You jump to assumptions when you assume that a gunman values increased likelihood of an unarmed shootee over his own easy access to weapons.

I really don't think this azz wipe gave a damn about gun control. He would have gotten a gun one way or another to carry out his plan. If you believe other wise then you are the one that is short sighted.

if we ever profiled the most likely to kill us innocents, white Christian males have done more damage than any terrorists on our soil since 9/11, yet they are not feared...until now!

From now on, I'm calling in any white Christian males walking slowly, buying fertilizer, chemicals, renting cars or pick up trucks...help me out here. What have I forgotten to be askeered of as a free American man?

I need the pOlice to sweep the streets of this menace. Please come check my house first every Thursday.

Don't talk to me about losing freedoms Frank, can you even own a gun to protect your self and family? How many hoops do you have to jump through to keep it every year? That saying you quoted.....while it sounds wonderful, we're already being STRIPPED each and every day of MORE of the Freedoms we've come to know. Sorry but I think your wrong headed as hell on this one. And the rest of us ARE already giving up a LOT so THEY can feel normal and trusted. I'm glad your okay with being treated that way....most aren't!!!!! to further clarify, I was referring to not googling the answer to how many terrorist related deaths on our soil since 9/11 vs deaths caused by equally crazed white Christian males here since that date...I think we both know the answer to that one too, and it isn't going to make the case that you want look good, ie to profile coffee-light skinned Americans. Yet I am not seriously calling to do it to white male Christians, I was lampooning the concept of allowing the police to do so to any group, and asking for you to explain why not do your profiling to the far more life-threatening group if you must do it at all? I mean, if profiling saves lives, then at least limit it to the ones doing the most killing, no?

My concern is that we rushed and continue to rush into a police state begun with Homeland...not started by a liberal fool btw, but probably the fool you voted for twice...and sold the idea by promising security.

Yes I voted for him twice....and with the Dems record it was an EASY decision to make. Do I agree with the creation of Homeland Security?.....NO especially the politically correct way in which it was implemented!!! I have a question for you, if a white male 6'4 and 250 commits a robbery murder do you put all your resources looking for a Black male who's 5'10 and 175? Grown up table.....that's rich. Lmao

Here in flyover USA we're allowed (and do carry) to protect ourselves and others and while doing so send a BIG mssg to thumpers that these are NOT SOFT TARGETS where you can commit crimes trouble free.....
