Is it even possible to vette Syrian refugees?

I started thinking about this and concluded that it is not possible to thoroughly vette Syrian refugees. These are displaced people and most will not have passports and such. Since we are supporting rebels in the Syrian civil war I doubt Syria will help in any manner with vetting these people. Am I missing something?

You are spot on.

In fact there was an story on how easy it was to obtain a "legitimate" Syrian government passport.

The guys working in that passport office have families and money talks, so pay enough, you get your "official" passport, no matter who you are.

I am sure only passports are given out correctly in Syria though.

You want to give them muscle cars? Heck, I'm all for resettling them, but I think this might be a wee bit extravagant.

No it is not....But more funny Canada is begging for Syrian's to come but they are not interested. Look at this latest's from the Canadian Gov... HOW DID REFUGEES GET CELL PHONES AND MORTAGES ??

United Nations recently approached 28,000 refugees to see if they were interested in coming to Canada, only 1,801 said they would like to come here. That works out to just six per cent.
"These are the first initial figures that have been communicated by the Government of Canada," De Angelis says.

On Wednesday, the Canadian government released numbers that show for the week of Nov. 18, UNHCR texted 41,000 Syrians in Jordan and Lebanon. They were asked if they wanted to come to Canada. Just over two-thirds of those people had phones that still work. Among them, only 3,000 or so people showed up for UN interviews. And of those, about 1,800 expressed an interest to move to Canada.

"It's clear that families are scattered and this is one of the main elements of their decision making process," De Angelis explains. "A relocation of this kind, in their culture, in their society, requires a full family participation...They're paying mortgages. They are maybe renting a little shack or garage in which they live. These are all commitments that will have to be resolved."

“The Obama administration doesn’t want Americans to know about how it places refugees from terrorist states in their local communities,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The fact we had to file a federal lawsuit to obtain basic information about Obama’s dangerous refugee plans should tell Americans (and Congress) that the Obama administration has something to hide about refugees, terrorism, and national security.”

The U.S. plans to spend $1.56 billion on resettlement in fiscal 2015 — up from $587 million a decade ago. Among other benefits, each refugee will receive $1,000 in spending money once they are here.

Had a friend state he would rather house a family of refugees than a family of conservative Republicans. I told him to use his money to pay for it, not mine. At least a conservative Republican would pay their own way.

These folks like this leave me speechless, how / why do they broad brush every conservative? And how do they NOT understand that with the inability to truly vet these people properly....they put themselves their family members and fellow Americans unnecessarily In Harms Way?
