I've got a few questions pertaining to box pressed cigars. Maybe Jon@CAO can help me out. First, is the ring gauge measured before or after the cigars are box pressed? For example, would a 50 r.g. box pressed cigar technically be smaller than a 50 r.g. round cigar. Also, does box pressing do anything more than just change the feel and appearance? Does it do anything for the burn or taste?

Thanks, just being curious george here

Irrespective of how Jon answers this, he's gonna have a tough time topping e-Chick's answer in this threads twin (same box-pressed question w/different title).

Jon, you might want to take a look at e-'s response before you answer ... that's some pretty tough competition you're up against ... LOL

X's response to e-chick's statement made me shoot coffee through my nose!

Coffee through your nose, JR ?? ... I'd say that's a rather unusual reaction to what she described ... LOL

but then, your reaction was to Xs response, not e-chick's statement ... that IS more understandable
