I never had the fortune of meeting wheel and to hear you all speak of him, I wish I had. It's no secret that I didn't agree with most of what Wheel posted here. However I believe that was simply a character he chose to portray here for amusement.

I grieve for his family's loss. I dread the day of losing a spouse or father. I can only imagine the heartache they feel. My sincere prayers are with his family.

We can all take comfort in knowing that Wheel is at peace now. No longer is he in pain or fighting his demons.

Wheel, I apologize for letting my temper keep me from knowing you better.

While I never had the opportunity to meet Bill in person, I did talk with him a few times. He was a complete gentleman and very generous with help and information about subjects he was versed in. The persona here was simply an act.

Wow. Just heard about this sad news. Still taking it in. As others have said, it's a bit strange to realize how affected I (we) are by the passing of someone we have not met in person. I think that speaks volumes to Wheel's character and the lasting impact he has had on all of us.

Condolences to Terrie and family.

II haven't stopped in here for a while and just saw this. Condolences to his family and may he RIP. I had many a clash with Bill in here. One of them leading to my banishment before the site format changed. But he brought his own special sauce to this barbeque and kept it spicy. I broke my ankle a little over a year ago when Bill was recovering from this serious leg injury and he sent me an e-mail wishing me well. He expressed a sincere interest in my recovery. I am truly sad at his passing. His widow and family probably know a lot better than us all of the virtues and vices that made him one of the great memorable characters on this site They don't need that validation from me or anyone else here, but I hope they have his password and can read the thoughts posted by all here. I will miss his mischevious and hilarious presence here.

Someone is right now roaming the heavens and asking where the broads with big boobs are at.

Never met you, Bill.
Feel like I knew you.

RIP, my brother.

He seemed quite shocked when I found him at the Casino during his visit (with Terrie's help) But since he was playing at a table and it was late, I kept the meeting short. He was very gentlemanly, and I know he was VERY proud of his family.

They will have a very hard time dealing with this. I hope some day, they can find peace in the knowledge that he will be waiting for them someday, somewhere.
