Trump will do any level of grand standing rather than have a substantive talk on how he would address the issues. But his crowd loves it – he’s forceful and somewhat rude – who the hell cares about the issues? He’ll prolly host a burlesque show next during the debates….

This is what gets me.
Trump DOES speak about the issues: Taxes, trade deficits, border security, 2nd amendment, even healthcare.
But the media ignores it, so we get the above perception.

Don't get me wrong. His methods to gain popularity (and votes) make me cringe. But it's an end to the means. He gets free publicity.
The average Trump supporter doesn't vote for him because he blasts Cruz's wife or Rubio's genitalia. They agree with him on one or several issue, so they simply laugh at his theatrics.

Look at EVERY major news source.
It's Trump TV 24/7.

On my homepage this morning I watched a link to Matt Lauer's morning show where they nailed Trump for lying about when he saw a video.
I don't recall the same cast and crew being so giddy when they nailed Hillary about proven lies that actually matter to our national security. Oh, wait.
They never bothered to report on those tidbits.

Yeah well tailgater, it's the leftists way to bleat about the important stuff. I think it's a direct reflection of their lack of intelligence.

If you look at his web site, his positions are paper thin and in the interest of buisness and it's owners.
He says he will get rid of Obamacare and replace it with something that follows "free market principals" - Like who ever has the gold makes the rules - thaty's free market right?
And he will ensure that no buisness ever pay as much tax as I do - per his web site.

It's no wonder he just want to have spit ball fights. Because if the blue collar ever figure out how bad he will screw them, it would be over.

Trump doesn't discuss the issues. He merely identifies a problem everyone already knows about it and says under him it will be fixed and be great.

Gurkhas suck but if you give me controlling interest in cigarbid they won't anymore. I have a Central American friend and they love me.

First of all, his positions are no more "paper thin" than are those of Bernie Sanders.
Bernie is giving everything away and claims that it will somehow be paid for by 1/2 of 1 percent off the rich bastids only.
Sounds like someone learned from Common Core.

As for the spitball fight? I understand how you feel that way, since you obviously get all your info from the mainstream master. That's why you originally thought Trump never talked about his positions.

Truth be told, I find his details lacking. Again, he's not an ideal candidate. But each premise is spot on. Especially corporate tax rate.
We all complain about corporations moving operations overseas. But we then want to tax them to death if they stay.
We can't have it both ways. You want them to return? Set up a REAl tax rate that is fair, and make it BETTER to do business IN America.

I agree no one can have it both ways...so attach job creation standards that must be met.
Win/win.

But only in a vacuum.
We want corporations to "create jobs" while simultaneously pushing for an obscene increase in minimum wage.
Should we also curb automation? Plan reduced efficiency? This will promote job quantity but at the cost of job quality.
That's what setting "job creation" standards would likely achieve.

Rather, we can reward job creation with incentives (such as grants for training, or tax rebates when new hires achieve a certain tenure). This would improve quantity AND quality.

But nobody talks about this because it would be viewed as "corporate tax breaks" for the evil 1%. (ask Bernie or the newest rock star E. Warren)
Heck, CA is approving a job crushing $15 minimum wage as I type this.
Which signals the beginning of the end because the feds will follow suit post haste. Toot sweet. PDQ. Un-slow-like.

obviously I did not have anything as specific as grants and rebates, but yeah, that's the kind of creative stuff that I would at least like to see added to the mix. Lots of things are really taxes by another name, or tax breaks by another name, and it made me sick to see stuff like Raytheon got here and then made Patriot Missles (I think that was it) elsewhere...thank you very much for the free infrastructure improvements etc.

That was our tax money being used, and without some specific expectations on their part, they did not feel obliged to reciprocate at all.
