Yes is the short answer.

Here is an interesting OP on the BBC's site written by a US Expat in England.

Who's going to stop him in the GOP now?

Cruz? He's flamed out. He's got a prostitute issue and nobody likes him.

Kasich? He's statistically got no chance in hell of getting the nomination and nobody likes him.

Sorry GOP. They did this to themselves. This is what they get for NOT running a strong unified party. This is what they get for being the party of doing nothing for so long. This is what they get for lying to their constituents just to get their votes. This is what THEY did to themselves and they have nobody to blame but them.

If Paul Ryan is to be their convention substitute candidate to unseat the groundswell of support that Trump has built then the GOP will cease to exist after another election cycle. It will take this one and one more cycle to eradicate them from the premises.

They deserve all of this because they didn't lead when they should've. They took their money, they took our votes and lived the good life, and will retire like the fat cats they are.

Hillary is a carpetbagging Clinton. She's a Wall Street darling that looked the other way when the entire meltdown was happening...leaving nobody to mind the stores under her husband's watch...well, while he was getting his knob shined.

She's voted for wars and her husband passed legislation that pretty much gave us the Black Lives Matter mess because the prison rate for a Black male...yeah, it sky rocketed. She's a boot licking dog that cuddled up to the Kenyan King while wars raged and guns were ran...whipped up the entire Middle East into a froth telling the youth that they could take off the yokes of their oppressors and pulled a modern day Bay of Pigs. She's the scourge of the Earth and she's a lying POS that's married to a bigger POS and they're both training a POS daughter to say whatever they want her to say like some demented Charlie McCarthy ventriloquist dummy because she knows what side her bread gets buttered on.

She needs to be put down for good because she's a rabid dog. A rabid dog that's infected a political party with lies and deceit that benefit only her.

President Richard Nixon is rolling in his grave because Karma is coming home to roost all over her cheating, lying and thieving ass.

And he is doing a fine job of it.

I honestly think Cruz is going to take it. After he is anointed I think Glen Beck is going to get a vision from God and will take a set of hair clippers to Cruz' Eddie Munster/playskool hair revealing the 666 too late to save the country from the wrath of the Canadian devil, his prostitutes or Hillary.

Then Dante will arise wearing large black rimmed glasses, a fake jimmy Durante nose and a fluffy mustache and simply say ahh chah chah before returning to his inferno amidst pained laughter.

Either that or kaisic will pull off a miracle in a brokered convention proving there is a god but the party will splinter making Hillary the overall winner, us the overall losers, and proving that while there may be a god, the democrats are godless and have a growing majority nationally.

It is too late for Trump to run 3rd party. There are many states with "sore loser laws" that prevent a candidate from switching parties after they have been beaten in a primary.

The day that Bloomberg pulled out was the last day that a candidate could declare he was running on "such and such" a ticket and not be penalized in any way.

We are long past that.

The establishment (and teedubya) hates Cruz more than Trump and I don't see him winning via convention, although I would welcome it.

It is just so sad that we have a chance to really take it to the Dems and their horrible policies and show a huge difference in the big issues and philosophies. Instead we are discussing stupid stuff and possibly allowing the dems to sweep into office and screw the public for good with possibly 3 S.C. nominations and more of european socialism the left loves so much.

I think the establishment hates Trump more than Cruz. Good ole Lindsay is a reflection of that. But you are right about me. Cruz is by far the worst of the lot. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he was the anti-Christ. Using my Trump voice "I'm not saying he is but some people are and if I don't say it first but re-say it that's not on me.... besides terrorism and stuff... they are everywhere... and the mexican border...we need a 35 foot wall... why are we even talking about anything else.... look something shiny.... "

cue commercial.... this is cnn.... watch our new special on the 80's .... clip of reagan.... "Mr. G.... tear down that wall" irony

I also agree that this is a prime year to take it to the Dems and we are settling in on two complete and utter turds, turds that I identified as such at the very beginning of the process. It shows how **** the wacky zealots of the party are at being rational.

Tw - I know we have talked about it before but I'm still not understanding your disdain for cruz aside from some personal dislike.

As to the antichrist, in my limited understanding, I don't believe the antichrist would proclaim his faith in Jesus but rather himself and/or some other worldly process. He would most likely be trying to undermine the chuch (marriage, sexuality, sin doctrine, etc) rather than promote religious liberty. I'm sure you were most likely speaking in hyperbole but could it actually be that every Christian and/or constitutionalist in America is duped except you? I guess anything is possible.

The antichrist will not rise to power by saying what he really is, but will do so through deception and will do so by tempting and fooling Christs' children with glee. They need to willingly follow him and that will not begin with honesty. He will build false trust as the first step.

I've told you my take on Cruz and you either don't get it, don't want to, or just disagree. All of which are cool by me. I beleive Cruz is performing a great deception right before his supporters eyes and one day their eyes will open and they will be embarrassed or worse.

All that aside I also don't see the value in a President who proclaims executive orders unconstitutional (assuming he applies the same rules to himself since he is so pious and stuff) and whose own party hates him (done intentionally by him for personal gain and to pretend a sitting senator running for president on day 1 is not a politician or insider regardless of where his wife works or where he gets his financing) and has proven he can not work with congress even from within. No EO, no congressional cooperation. Winning!

Antichrist? Maybe but that's more for entertainment value. As for being the only one seeing it....... I suspect a majority of his own proclaimed party, any one that's ever worked with him, and certainly the other party see it. In terms of real numbers I think you are on the smaller side rather than I.

Ahhhh chahhhh chahhhh

Oh yes. Don't forget the other constitutional scholars that flat out disagree with him. Just because the Canadian count proclaims himself as something doesn't make it true. He really isn't holier than most, he really isn't less of a politician than his peers (the way he manipulates is pure politics), he really isn't more of a constitutionalist than anyone else, and he is not like Reagan....his proclamation that really gets under my skin. He is a great deceptor and a great spinner of tales who very well may rise to power using unsavory means and by manipulating the process and the times. No one in his own party wants him. Yet there he is. Interesting rise.

If he gets the nomination I've been casually talking to a few old friends who worked with me on a couple campaigns over 20 years ago who would like to find a way to work against him.

I think obama is a constitutional scholar so there's that...

As to cruz, he is a politician. We live in a time of incredible spin on both sides of the aisle. It is just hard for me to give much merit to anyone who decries cruz as a holier than thou type yet states, in the same sentence, that he/she would support hilary over him and possibly even help campaign to that end. Just doesn't make any logical sense.

I don't see that sentence, any disagreement about the other side of the aisle or any mention of Hillary in this thread. Never trump seems to be acceptable. It should be never Cruz.

But I'll help you out again. I will only vote for Hillary if the republicans choose Satan or Cruz (it may be one in the same lol). If it's Trump I'll vote 3rd party which I know some moron will call a vote for Hillary sort of like Cruz is calling a vote for Trump because he can't get anyone to vote for him so he has to frame it as against someone else.

You like Cruz. Good on you. He is no different than any other politician. He just says he is and that's what some need to hear. And yes the big O is supposedly a constitutional scholar which in itself should cause pause when some one proclaims themself the most righteous constitutionalliest mamba Jamba ever.

Let's just sum it up. Cruz is a hypocritical douche that's trying to leverage the system for personal gain. His mamma prolly doesn't even like him although she's prolly scared to say it seeing as he is at a minimum a male succubis and possibly the actual spawn.

But you like him. Good on you. Some people like natty light.

So hilary is less of a hypocrite and elitist than cruz
Hilary is much more honest and humble as well
Cruz is more likely to "leverage the system for personal gain" than the founder of the clinton foundation

Got it - thanks for clearing that up for knuckle dragging natty light drinkers like myself

I never said any of that about Hillary but knock yourself out.

There was virtually no way there was a path in which I'd ever consider Hillary. She is what she is. If my party chooses Cruz they deserve to get routed for that choice. Maybe they will learn to quit catering to the extreme. Sometimes you need to let the train hit when no one will listen. Hopefully a total trouncing up and down the ballot will be a learning experience. If not then the party should cease to exist and has run its course.

Some will see that as an establishment position. I do not. I see it as the opposite. They made their bed now must lie in it. On that we likely agree. Where we differ is Cruz would be the punishment. I'm just willing to pour gas on it. Him or trump are a disaster candidate. I embrace that fact if that's what you and others want. Watching Grahm is hysterical and a microcosm of the establishment. His buddy McCain sold his soul for Palin in hopes of stroking the extreme. Let it play out. It needs to happen and is overdue.

After the shellacking I'll be back amongst the rubble waiting to see if anyone wants to be serious or if they still support trump Cruz types. That's when real decisions have to happen.

In the mean time embrace the gauntlet you willingly bring upon yourself and the party.

Just to be clear Hillary is a bottom of the barrel dreg. We all know that. She is a reflection of the Democrats and they deserve her. We are better than them. Why not show it? Cruz or Trump are not the way to show it. It's going lowest common denominator. I get it folks are mad at the establishment so they are voting the retarded kid in to show their dissatisfaction. There must be a better way. Like any of the other 15 candidates.

And while you practice your foolishness and vote for Hillary, or stay out of the voting all together, quite possibly Hillary gets the nod, maybe the deems get the house (with anti christ Pelosi) and the senate ( with satan's right hand man, Chuck U. Schumer) and then we get upwards of 70% of the federal appointed judges being activist left judges and then we are entrenched so far with lefty policies, there is no way out. (we are at 40% activist fed appointed judges now).

- but hey, as long as you have a clear conscience about not voting for a guy who slept with your wife, or whatever Cruz did to you firstborn- doesn't matter if the country is creamed in the process, you will be able to sleep at night.

Pushing european socialism and taking more liberty away from the citizenry is not the way I am looking to poke a fork in the eye of the D.C. sell out politicians.

If Trump or Cruz gets in, I vote for them.. if it is Trump and he sucks, then I stump for a guy that unseats Trump after 4 years.

If Hill gets in, I weep for my children's future.
