I texted my best friend a few minutes ago. Haven't heard back. He's a deputy sheriff. His shift is working at the moment. The shooting occurred in his substation patrol area.

Just talked to a friend. There have been at least 9 officers shot. The deputy that died was a friend. Two more friends are in surgery.

It has arrived, and we still have all utilities and a pretty good economy....

If the dollar collapses or a major solar flare
EMP pulse hits the U.S. and all utilities stop.....
Then...

The call went out for blood donors as the supply is low. This particular center where I'm waiting to donate opened today in response for the need for blood to replenish what is being used for the officers shot. There is a line all the way outside the building with blacks and whites equally represented.

The three SO deputies were white. Not sure about the BRPD officers since I know their names. The shooter that is dead is black.

The officers were ambushed by as many as 3 individuals dressed in all black wearing body armor at a convinence store frequented by LEO's.

one pissed off sheriff... and don lemon is a joke... he actually cites a study to support his racist point, then when it's pointed out that he misinterpereted the study, he notes that that study isn't credible...

I live in Baton Rouge and it was pretty crazy out here for a while yesterday. Lots of sections were blocked off and helicopters circling over for a good while. Then to top it off, while the BRPD was investigating, a huge thunderstorm rolled into town.

To serve and protect is an honor. I do it out of love. This kind of action is hate and I do not believe there is any honor at all it hatred.

I will continue to hold the line with my brothers in blue, but the thin blue line needs support now more then ever.

Please pray for those we have lost, their families and the ones that are still out their serving and protecting.

Just watched the wisconsin sherriff on cnn. Meh.... he came preprogramed and had no intentino on a discussion. He had some good points but they will largely get lost by his approach. Everyone needs to take a breath. I hope and bet it's not true but some will percieve him as part of the problem with the attitude and rhetoric. Others will say who cares hes right so eff you and there we are.

These situations are out of hand right now, and while they will get better, I fear they might get worse first. I do sincerely hope that I am proven wrong about the latter.
