If anybody is looking for some Opus x's for the holidays, I've got a phone # of a site that has non-inflated prices. They only have the Belicoso XXX, Perfeccion #4, and Perfeccion #5. [email protected]. Happy Holidays

you'd probably have more success by emailing him as he suggested. he posted his email to make it convenient for you.

They had some at the store on San Pedro on Mon and Tue before Thanksgiving. Of course, I stopped by on Wed.

The store at the Quarry acts like they never get any.(I think the clerk I spoke to has never seen a cigar.)

Check your local shops on a regular basis. This is the holiday season. And the Holiday season is one of the times they ship OPUS X.

My local retailer is having an open house/holiday herf tomorrow and Saturday. I'm going to look for an Opus X. What would be a fair price? I don't want to get ripped off and understand they are in great demand.

I just got my first Opus X's at my local shop. Good thing I asked. I have been going in on an almost daily basis and looking in the Humidor. I was buying some butane and saw a Little baggie with 2 different ones in it. I asked the guy at the counter if they were in stock. He had 4 of each of the 2 left. I got 2 for 13 and 1 for 14. not sure what sizes they are the 14 dollar one has a cedar wrap the 13 dollar ones are a little shorter.

Just picked up a couple today (limit 2 per visit). I paid $13 for the larger belicoso (approx. 6x50) and $10 for the smaller belicoso (approx. 5x48). My local shop just recieved shipment a couple of days ago and has the entire line in stock. I will be going back there every day to buy a couple until they are gone. Snooze ya lose.

I bought the #4's. Passed out 4 of them at a party. It took a whole lighter full of fluid to keep the 4 lit. Was it a storage problem? Do they need to rest after shipping? I thought these were ready to smoke upon arrival. They looked beautiful and tasted great but what a pain to have to keep lighting them. Dry box time?

Pebbea, that seems to be a fairly consistent problem with most of the Opus X recently. Best to let them rest awhile.

I would hate to think they "rushed the hands of time".

Geeeeeesh!!!

My local shop is friggin' expensive. They are an Opus retailer, but they sell them waaaaaay expensive. I bought a couple Prefexion X for $30/stick. That sounds like I'm getting ripped off. I'm in Southern California and they are the only place around that has a steady supply of Opus, so I guess they can charge whatever they want =/

Aundy you are aware that the CA price includes one of the highest taxes in the country, aren't you ?? It's not like your store is ripping you off and pocketing an extra few bucks ... they've got to send that $$ to Sacramento

...I've had the same problem keeping the smaller ring models lit. The larger rings didn't have that problem. IMHO the Opus X is over-rated and usually over-priced.

Steve, that's the wierd thing: There is another store that is South of my location that sells the exact same Opus for $17/stick, but they don't "always" have it in stock like the expensive shop.

Trippy stuff, eh?

SoCal's a big place ... where're the two stores ... I mean, to some extent, their location (rent) will have something to do with it ... shops here in downtown SF are higher priced than those in the burbs where I live, for example

They are both located in the Burbs of South Orange County. The store that is expensive has a 20 year clientile. The Cheap store has been around equally as long, but it is not well known and on the outskirts of Orange County, whereas the expensive one is indeed located next to a mall. Question answered!

Thanks a ton!!
