Does shooting yourself in the foot count as an act of war?

Stuff like this makes me laugh.

Again....glass houses and rocks.

Do the Dems not recall the DNC where people where chanting "BERNIE"
I didn't see anything like that at the RNC.

Talk about a Civil War.

I guess the agenda is to draw attention to the other party so nobody will look at us Dems.

Mattie, that why I wonder if it's true. If it is true it is unprecedented in our times.

I think the bernie/clinton thing was pretty normal for many conventions. This trump thing is very different.

I'm not saying that drafter.... I just think I've seen many conventions where hard fought contentious primaries are put to bed. I've never seen anything like the trump phenomenon but some think its a good thing *shrug*

LMAO......

D's are more likely to circle the wagons and vote party line. Fact.

R's recently have seen leadership abandon the base, thus you have the teaparty.

Occupy was a lighter D version because many were attention seeking anarchists that don't vote party line D anyways.

So now, you have a situation where a portion of R's are disenfranchised with leadership and you have the big middle finger to them in the form of Trump. Trump saw a target audience and is playing the pied piper role well.

This isn't rocket surgery.

You have the press who don't understand a segment of voters, and chose to alienate them instead now wondering what is going on.

The DNC event was normal?

200 DELEGATES WALKED OUT......THE LIGHTS WERE TURNED OUT ON THE OREGON DELEGATES......

yeah people see what they choose to.

Z I guess I've just seen similar in many conventions. R and D .... I didn't see anything all that new. The same is true for the roll call business in day 1 of the R convention this year.... I didn't find it all that different than some other years. The ford/reagan convention was one example.

What has followed has been very different than what I've seen before but that could just be my experience.

Well I watch both the RNC and DNC.

At the DNC I saw some real angst that Bernie did not win. But for the most part the sour grapes passed.

The RNC did not seem to have a sence of unity or support from the big players in the GOP.

Anyway - to me it was night and day.

But I guess now we get to see how well PC sells when it's time to check out.
I do wonder about the WASP's - I don't think Don has pizzed in their wheaties yet. I wonder why. He seems to have sprayed most everyone else so far.

Teedubya, fair enough.

I do remember hubbubs at different conventions but not this level of emotion and this level of different coverage or in some cases NON coverage. Like the lights on the Oregon delegates, that I only found out about on FB through a twitter tweet.

D.N.C. Headquarters Mobbed by Republican Refugees Seeking Asylum

WASHINGTON, D.C. —A humanitarian crisis has been unfolding over the past week as Republican refugees seeking asylum have overrun the Democratic National Committee headquarters, in Washington, D.C.

D.N.C. staffers have confirmed that they were woefully unprepared for the masses of desperate Republicans who have shown up at the D.N.C.’s door, looking for safe harbor.

“These people have been brutalized for months and have decided to risk everything to save themselves and their families,” D.N.C. staffer Tracy Klugian said. “When they tell you their stories, they are absolutely heartbreaking.”

Meg Whitman, who is sixty, said she left her entire life as a Republican behind after witnessing unspeakable horrors under the new G.O.P. regime.

Taking comfort from a blanket and a cup of coffee provided by D.N.C. staffers, Whitman appeared to be in a state of shock about where life under a failed state had brought her.

“I never thought I’d find myself in a place like this,” she said as she took in the unfamiliar surroundings of the D.N.C. headquarters. “Still, anything has to be better than where I came from.”

When asked if she had any regrets about her decision to flee, Whitman choked back tears before responding. “I had no choice,” she said. “There is no respect for human life there.”
