Welcome to the madness.
Just hope she doesn't get curious and start reading the threads. Then you will be in for it. LOL
I don't have a wife to offend, so I can just smoke, search, trade, buy, and Smoke, all I want to. LOL
But welcome to the forums, have a nice day

I told my wife to count her blessings - that many men my age had worse habits, etc, then me - have not heard a word since. Offer her a cigar and tell her to sign on to the fourm!

Thanks for the welcomes. She's tolerating my hobbies, as I tolerate hers. Thing is, my hobbies are slightly more expensive than hers. Oh well. :)

Hey fuzz, welcome to the forums, and why don't you get her to try one.... Maybe she'll get hooked also... My wife loves flavors, and even has her own humi.....

Oh, that's just not gonna happen Rick. Not a chance in hell. I'd have an easier time convincing her to have a threesome with her sister than getting her to try a cigar, and the threesome thing is right out, but still working on it. ;)

But, more cigars for me this way. Wouldn't want her rummaging through my humidors anyway. Gotta have something in this house that's mine besides the lawn mower.

My wife said that she could buy a new wardrobe for what I have spent on Cigars in the last 6 months, so I told her to go buy a new wardrobe.........

Lucky for me, she showed more self-control that I do on CBid.

I recently took over one of the accounts so I could hide my habit better. If she only knew of my collection that takes up the most of my lateral files at the office, in the age of a "paperless office" I think thats a damn fine use of them!

My wife just doesn't understand how much $$$ I'm saving. All she understands is how much money I'm spending.Funny thing is when I would go to a B&M she would look at my little bag with 6-8 sticks in it and say "damn that cost $50".Now I show her a whole box and she says "damn that cost $50".Its a no win proposition I'm afraid.

get her involved.....i promise, she will like the higher priced smokes better and pretty soon, she won't bitch when all you buy are habanos, super-premiums, and such...............when all she will smoke is graycliffe, la aurora prefs (tubos, no less), and davidoffs she will have no room to gripe at the prices you pay for smokes. i am now more convinced than ever, and so is she, that you get a much better bargain for some habanos than with many n/c's.....and vice versa....there are many habanos that are waaay overpriced, but smoke for smoke, the habanos win every time.....then, she'll see it your way......hehehe...simple reverse psychology. i even got her to the point that when my mom called from the sugar bowl in N.O. and asked what smokes to pick me up in the shop in the business district...the name escapes me now.......but she told her to get me davidoff LE 04's...........a whole box.....bbbbbbwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha

Does she collect something? Is she a crafter? Those things all cost money too. I've seen women spend hundreds of dollars on scrapbooking supplies. I buy beads, myself. And at least when Rugrunner is smoking a cigar I know where he is and what he is up to. He could be spending that money on something much less benign. Tell her to count her blessings!

FuzzNJ - My wife feels the same way, but I'm also a muscle car nut and I'm not working on any cars right now. So I tell her that my cigar hobby is waaaaay cheaper and less time consuming than restoring a '69 Mustang.
Of course when I find a car to restore then she's gonna want me to stop buying so many cigars. I better go shopping...heh.

Support groups are for people with problems. You need separate accounts. God forbid my wife find out what I've spent here...come to think of it, I don't even want to know the totals myself.

It's cheaper to keep her. Unless you can get rid of her without paying a penny.

None of my lawyers can come up with any idea yet. Hence I stay married. LOL

Well, there is a way...no money, no kids, she already has a good job. No alimony, no child support and no property to fight over. Poverty and childlessness can make the divorce pretty cheap.
