I am not sure if I can mention other sites on here, but I have a question about some knock offs I found on antoher site being offered in bundles. They compare them to other name-brand cigars. Any input out there?

There is a very popular site that lists their own house brand and says its very similar to the original. However, the owner said in a post (CA was ripping the site for their knock offs and the owner defended his company) that the cigar that was advertised as being an alternative to the original was only an alternative size wise and not flavor wise.

Personally I don't buy generic beer, bread or cheetos so I don't buy generic cigars.

If you're talking about the place that sells "alternatives", I bought a few a while back. I found them to be decent for the price, but really nothing like the real thing. I think if you want the real thing, you'll have to pay for it. If you want to try a couple of these, I still have some left that I can send you.

I agree with the concept of not buying generic. However, I have found some surprises in cigars that were not very popular but happened to taste good. I guess I was dreaming for something and should have known better.

Nonetheless, if you have sticks you're willing to share, I cannot turn it down.

The only knock offs Ive liked are the Padron Annaversario Knock off. They sell them on cBid from time to time. The corona is my favorite one. Mag

I haven't tried any knock-offs but if you're looking for cheap, good smokes, try the Montague maduros when they come up. Plus they come in a really nice box.

If you want a really good smoke at a very good price. Go for the Mayorga Maduro, Robusto or torpedo both good, both sold here. 5 packs usually no more than 10 bucks. Heres one aution in progress: http://www.cigarbid.com/...ion/lot.cfm?lotID=83058

Mag, you are so right on and locked in on the Mayorgas!

As far as to _&_'s Alternatives, they are only like the real things in shape and size! Decent enough smokes, but not worth the price! Can buy other items for same money that are better! Watch the bid boards and pick your spots and you can do better! Bad Frogs and Wolves be damned!

Nothing says "thank you" like a good cigar ... send one to each of us as a token of your gratitude ... we'll let you know how grateful WE are based on the quality of what you send ... I've lost track of who to send the first one to ... how 'bout if you just send 'em all out at once?? ... saves you on trips to the post office that way too ...

RZiems, email me at lenny4z at yahoo dot com if you'd like to try a Fuente Alt and a Punch Alt. Like I said before, they are OK, but nothing special and certainly not quite like the real thing.
