Cool, I just got my Cuban Smooban CAO T Shirt. That was fast, I just sent the bands of Monday. Anyone else get theirs yet?

Yup- got mine BMW.

I have NEVER got a freebie SO fast before..

Cool shirt..

**What ever happened to "heavy weight cotton"...

I'd hate to get a light weight cotton tee... unless
it was used for a wet tee-shirt contest I guess !!

I got mine today. I'm very disapointed with the quality of the lettering though. CAO needs to fire who ever made the shirts for them. Oh well, it was free and I really enjoy their cigars. My favs.

I sent for two of them...one for me and one for my wife. They both came yesterday. I agree with everyone about everything. The quality could be better, the shirt could be heavier, the lettering could be better, they came really fast, and they were free. Not really much to bitch about. Would I have bought them? Probably not, but for free, way cool.

Thanks for the feedback on the t-shirts, however, I have to ask what exactly is "wrong" with the lettering on the shirts and 'why we should fire' (lol) our t-shirt maufacturer???

I thought the t-shirts were of great quality and there was nothing wrong with the printing either. In fact, these shirts were produced by the same company that does all the merchandise for Cigar Aficionado and their work is quality.

Just curious...???

Gads ... I hope I didn't answer the question wrong ... LOL! If I did, there are going to be a few out there that are going to be really unhappy with me!

relior1- I beleive the "lettering" is supposed to be "broken up" like on the tee..

Jon- my comment about the "heavy weight" cotton seems
to be an industry wide problem.. they just dont make t's like they used to... you just cant call this tee "heavy weight"

all in all, I appreciate the free marketing freebie and love your cigars..

carry on !!

I have the same problem as Deathray. I have the bands, but I really want to save them. I really like saving the bands from the cigars that I love, and I love the CAOs.

WOO-WOO!!! I got my t-shirt today ... and it's beautiful!

I don't know what some of you guys expect in a t-shirt, but these are definately high quality. The lettering is just like it's supposed to be ... with the irregular edges (looks like block stone letters with crumbling edges and corners) that you see in some of the logos on 'rock' t-shirts ... and these are heavyweight.

... don't believe me? Just check out some of the cheaper lightweight ones, and you will be convinced.
A while back, I got a promo t-shirt from Perdomo that's a heavyweight (from a different company) ... and they are the same weight and thickness.

They're really nice shirts. I got the black w/red lettering, and I think I'm going to get the blue w/yellow lettering next ...

And heck guys ... go for these promos when they have them. CAO is known for giving away great stuff. Just smoke more CAO cigars for your other projects!

Got mine today as well. I love it very high quality and yes the lettering is supposed to be the way it is. Anyone who doesn't want there's I will be glad to take it off your hands. LOL

Thanks again John. CAO is still my favorite.

John, would there be a way to have the bands sent back, but with them marked as unusable for a promotion again. (IE: write void on the back, and throw them back in with the Tshirt, i really want the CAO bands to grace the humidor project I have, but....a free tshirt...aww damn!

It's only six bands ... man, this is a classic 'have your cake and eat it too' scenario.

Heck, I'm unemployed ... and I can afford 6 cigars.

What you are asking, is that they treat you differently than they do the others in the promotion. Besides, if they make an excpetion in your case, they would have to do it for others ... and it could get out of hand.

I know, I know ... I'm not Jon and I'm answering for him, but I'm just saving him the trouble (in case he dosen't see this) with what I believe is going to be his answer.

If you like the cigars enough to get the shirt, you will eventually replace those six bands when you buy more CAO cigars.

Mine arrived yesterday. At first I thought it was black, but in the daylight, it looks like a very dark green. Really cool. Am I happy? Oh yeah!
