No cheap shot intended. I googled memorial walls and you are right. I did not know this. All memorial walls are important. My point was we are at odds about the border wall. Is it so important that it get built or not, maybe. The building of a memorial wall is much more important. When I first saw the Vietnam War Memorial wall it humbled me in a profound way. What is important is those people made the ultimate sacrifice so you and I can live free. If we lived in many other countries we might be killed for our beliefs. Sometimes I forget we are all Americans. Kawak is an American first, somewhere down the line his philosophical views/ political viewpoints come into play. Me too, same for you. Victor, well who knows? And so it goes.

The Border Wall will protect us from illegal invasion... Nobody is anti-immigration... Although that is what you and other liberal Extremists are pushing... Why do you really want an open border when other immigrants follow the rules to become American citizens..?? Huh

Why don't you want a border wall with Canada? Crazy question. Yes I know. I think a border wall with Mexico is just as crazy. Not an attempt at being an extreme liberal, just what I think. I think illegals will find other ways to get here. They do from many countries that are across an ocean. So why wouldn't they from down south?

Using that logic we should pull all border patrol.
I mean, they'll just get in here anyway.

I'm not a wall proponent. But I'm not completely against it either. If it's built, it would make it MUCH more difficult to get here illegally from the side of our border that is most frequently abused.

I'd rather see a "virtual wall" put in place that strictly forbids hiring illegals and cuts all funding to states or municipalities that support them.
And I mean ALL funding.

But this will never happen because of the human factor.

Which brings us back to an actual wall, and the strong argument in favor of it.

If you read my posts you will see I am a proponent of border control. I do not see the wall as an effective deterrent. I totally agree with your virtual wall. Eliminate the incentives for being here illegally. Drafter you do have a valid point on job creation. Though I would rather see job creation through badly needed infrastructure rebuilding.

I agree but how are we going to pay for the infrastructure rebuilding? I doubt that a bill funding this work would make it through congress.

I think the most important wall is the one between the church and the state. fog

High tech wall would be cheaper and more effective...cameras, vibration and motion sensors, aerial surveillance, including monitored drones, more border agents patrolling the accessible areas combined with a greater degree of technological detection in the more difficult terrain...that's another virtual wall that would be cheaper and more effective than a physical wall...

1/2 white president. Your view of the world is myopic to say the least. I do not see why you would mention 1/2 anything when considering his presidency. It certainly is a valid point that you consider him a poor president. I guess 38 precenters like you think that 1/2 is important. He was a president, white, black, or multiracial is unimportant. Every president acts in ways many Americans dislike. Now back to Don the Con. I bet you think releasing the memo was a great idea. Do you think he should fire the deputy director of the justice department? Wasn't that a fine letter he crafted about Don juniors meeting with the Russians. Do you the he and Mueller are besties?

HA....yeah we'll go with that. That's ALL we friggen heard was his skin color and it was always Black ( while totally ignoring his white Mother ) AND the opportunity he himself as a mixed race president to HEAL racial wounds that still exist for some. Instead he used it to divide a nation that was already on it's way to mending itself. He and Mooch were /are racists.....they stirred the pot, live with it

Um, I clearly said I do not like his politics. It would have been a socialist/communist disaster. What I did say is I respect the man. Same thing with W. Same thing with Jimmy Carter. I thought Obama was a poor president and I do not respect him. I thought Clinton was a good president, but I have no respect for him. Reagan was a great president and I respect him greatly.

FWIW, the Canadians are much more border security minded than the US. Their protocols for entry are much more stringent than ours. Though more relaxed for US citizens than for other foreign nationals.

Actually, I think you missed my point. Our border with Canada is much more secure than our southern border because both partners are vigilant muting the need for a wall. Our southern border it’s much harder to secure since our southern partner is much less diligent. Another to keep in mind is that the vast number of illegals are from Central America. It’s a very long swim to Canada through dangerous waters before the walk south.

You’re making an apples to apples comparison to a much different scenario.

Abrig I went back-and-forth in to Canada last November without anybody ever checking who I am and what I was doing. There long stretches of border with no natural or unnatural boundaries, Walls, or people.

So you missed my humor, so dissapointing. My feeling is the money would be better spent by utilizing more technology and having a significantly larger border patrol. The real answer I think is to make the penalty for hiring an illegal alien so severe that no one will. Remove the incentive to get here. Also I would be interested in penalizing Mexico for not securing the border. I am unsure how to do this.

You're right. He went full retard! NEVER go full retard! He sure as hell didn't go half anything there!

Ramming legislation through some backdoor parliamentary procedure only to have the Supreme Court rule it legal as a tax EVERYONE must pay...bailouts....buyouts...broken promises to his base (see Guantanamo!)...mom jean helmet wearing girls bike riding stooge.

Just what exactly did he do so damned great? Bow? Give away trillions of dollars? Put military "advisors" in each and every country in Africa while most weren't looking? Kill OBL (snicker)? Run guns and weapons that killed Americans? Punish the bankers and traders that created a financial mess for our nation? Now, the nation is waking up that he weaponized the NSA, FBI and the FISC to spy on a private citizen that happened to run for political office (which he personally said him winning was NEVER gonna happen!!!) and then sign an executive order making sure almost any agency can share that information knowing full well that they were going to a complicit media that is STILL butthurt that she didn't win. He was an abject failure without his teleprompter. He was a big zero who's word meant ZILCH! His smarmy "I'm the smartest man in the room" gag only fooled those who didn't know who and what he was.

Yeah, history will not be kind to that ****. He didn't do a damned thing for America except try to break it's back and sell it out.
