I agree with you my Nig. What the armed forces do has nothing to do with us in our everyday lives other than maybe the price of oil.
But you got to think, most of the people that sign up are really young and have been brainwashed into thinking it matters. Once they sign up they have to stay, and fight endless and pointless wars for resources, or go AWOL and get locked in a steel cage for years. A lot of them realize that it isn't about "keeping us safe" but it's too late for them. I'm sure some of them still believe the propaganda, but a lot of them dont. That's why Homeland Security listed vets and returning vets as some of the most dangerous people in this country. I think that was when Obama was prez. It was a Homeland Security memo...just Googled it....
That said, I think the people that send stuff to the troops just want to make a crappy situation a little better for the men and women over there. Why make others feel bad for wanting to help another human being no matter if you feel it's misguided or not?
