OK, first off, sorry it took so long to get everything out. I went to the post office today, even though it was closed, and dropped the packages off in the inside drop-box. I've had most of these packed up for a bit and I realized why I don't trade as often any more. My priorities have shifted and it seems like cigars are now an after thought, which they should be. Since I originally offered to make trades with you guys, I've been to graduations, my kids finished up their school year, we've had pool parties, been out of town, etc. etc. With that being said, I have enjoyed this and I hope that all of you get some cigars that you've either never had or that you maybe have wanted to revisit.
This is what I'll say about what I sent... Cigars to me are kind of like music. When you hear certain songs, they bring you back to a certain time in your life. Packing these boxes did the same thing. And all of the memories were good. Thanks for that.
The Behike is real. Compare it to what you have and decide whether or not your cigar is real or not. I think it's probably not looking at the pic you posted. The cap should be clean and not veiny. But, what do I know. Now you have two and can make your own call.
The Lusitania was bought in Geneva, Switzerland, by me. I got a box of 10 when I went there in 2016 with my dad. The one I sent was the first out of the box. I know you probably don't give an F but to me, it's kind of cool that it is a cigar I literally bought in a cigar shop overseas. I'm heading to Europe in July and will buy me some more ;)
All of the Rats, Regios Reservas (top 5 all-time cigar for me), Noella Reservas (another top-5), L40's, and T-52 pigs are original releases. I'm currently smoking one of the Regios Reservas and they still taste excellent to me. YMMV.
The T-52 pigs have labels that look like they were dragged through a puddle of mud... I don't know why the bands soaked up so much of the oil, but for whatever reason, they did. I hope they smoke well. I don't like T-52's that much so I haven't smoked one. Hope you like them.
If you get a liga privada with a weird band, it isn't something I made. It's a prototype/pre-release cigar from Johnathon Drew.
I sent at least one Ratzilla out. I got three when they were released and never smoked one. Don't know if they were mass produced. You can let me know if you like it.
The WOAMs are probably 10 years old. One of my favs. I smoked one when I was digging them out to send a couple. Still tasted great to me (another top 5).
The Fuentes I sent are Hemi Maduros. Should have 8+ years on them. The bands are different than the new ones.
The Nub barber pole cigar was from an event. Never seen another one of them. Never smoked one. You got my only one but I figured I'd never smoke it so I sent it out.
The Litto Gomez is a Small Batch 6. Not sure if they still release them but it is one of my favorite all time cigars. I smoked one and they are fantastic.
The Cohetes are original. I think they re-released them but this is from his first batch. I was a Tat whore and still had a few left to send out.
The Centurions have some serious age. I never bought them but got many in trades and always loved them. I haven't smoked one recently but the cello is yellow and crispy. Should still be OK. I don't think they make them any more.
All of the Cubans should have 5+ years of age. I tried to label them but I may have forgotten to put dates on everything. If I didn't, and you want to know, send me a note and I'll try to figure it out. I was packing a lot of boxes and think I might have missed a few.
Bottom line, I hope everyone enjoys their cigars. I will try to post up what I've gotten tomorrow. I've been writing it down I appreciate what you guys sent. I haven't smoked any of them yet (I did try some beef jerky) as I vowed to get my stuff out before I tried any of the new things sent to me.
I plan to do one more round of trades in the coming weeks. I have one or two people I didn't get to on this trade. They will be first up and then I'll take one or two more if everyone seems happy with what I sent.
Cheers my friends. Cigarbid is different now but definitely has given me a lot of fun memories over the past 10 years.
