I'm sure you called plenty of people racist for simply disagreeing with Obama.
That's from Sissy-Liberal (redundant) 101.

In the meantime we've got the collective hollywood elite chanting anti POTUS filth just hours before a precarious summit.

It's like Jane Fonda. Only with MSM approval.

Hah...

So tail has chosen to
1 - identify in his own mind that spey is a "sissy liberal"
2 - because he has identified him as a "sissy liberal" he is now "sure you called plenty of people racist for simply disagreeing with Obama"
3-.... That's not even a rational argument even if it were correct.

Why bother having a conversation on the forum tail? You've already established in your mind and entire set of arguments based on your ability to read speys mind, and apparently omniscient knowledge of everything that he's done....

While it is sort of maddening to hear/listen to the stuff coming from TDS sufferers, I suppose it is possible that they will experience unintended consequences of their rantings.

It is entirely possible that those who think like DeNiro, as well as those voters on the leftmost edge are drifting too far from, even alienating whatever the blue core happens to be nowadays. I think that there may be some growth in the center, if not on the middle-right. I gotta think that all the bat-chit crazy stuff like this are going to make more rational dems think about how badly they want to support that sort of mindless Trump 'hate-ism'.

Saw a couple mins of Diamond and Silk doing street interviews and trying to get Trump haters to explain themselves with humorous results....so many people hating so thoroughly without a single, simple rational thought as to why

Relax TG, it's all good. The more these Hollywood Elites and Democrat Politicians open their mouths, the more they show the American people that all they have to offer is hate and obstruction. I talk with a large number of independents on other boards, and from what I see, all the crying and temper tantrums of the left are driving independents to vote Republican this fall. They may not particularly care for Republicans, but they are really turned off by what they see from the left. As a registered Libertarian for the past 20 years, I fall into this boat. I personally do not like Trump as a person, and feel he has tremendous character flaws, but I voted for him because I believe this nation is in a world of trouble, and he was the only one running who even had the slightest chance to right the ship. The first time in 20 years I've voted Republican, and will do so again this fall.

"I hate Trump" is not going to be enough to carry elections this fall. From the signs I'm seeing, I believe the left is going to wake up on the morning of November 7th with the same shell shock looks on their faces that they had the day after the Presidential election.

Another thing. I've read two articles in left leaning publications recently that made the false claim that our voting machines are susceptible to being hacked by foreign governments. It's as if they can see the writing on the wall, and are already setting their November narrative.

Funny thing... I agree with Dave.

Trump sucks is not a winning strategy for the left. We all know he sucks. It's no different than the right running their "we hate Obama" campaign. It's a dumb strategy.

That being said, I'm glad they're running it. We need trump to win another 4 years. Worst case scenario would be for him to leave after 4 years, lose to a Democrat... And have the fallout of all his idiotic actions fall on a Dem president. Because then the Republicans will just vote for someone even dumber, less diplomatic and more of a narcissist than trump... (Impossible you say... I've stopped believing that there is a possible bottom to how dumb someone can be and still be elected. )

Trump needs to win another 4 years, because there needs to be accountability to his actions in this 4 years. And if I'm wrong, and everything he's done leads to a great country with a good economy, low environmental impact and good human rights record, then he gets the 4 years he deserves. Somehow I doubt that will be the case.

Dave... Re voting machines...
I don't know if this is "writing on the wall" or general concern about out election security. I've said on thsi forum for years that voting machines are our biggest risk to democracy... You can search the forums and find it. While the right was whining about the risk of people voting illegally in ones or twos (something they could never even prove) I was saying that the real money is in being able to change the entire set of votes through the machine.

But no one listens to me here... So now you're all pretending this is something that just now being discussed.

Fair point... I think I was bringing it up back in 2008 though... Can't remember when exactly... But I've thought this was something we should be very concerned about for a long time....

There was a time when they were noticing some inconsistencies with specific models of these back before they could even be hacked from outside... This was when you would need a jump drive or something.

Looks like some on the left are starting to wake up.

Quote:
Joe Scarborough: Robert De Niro tirade 'helping Donald Trump's re-election'

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough slammed Robert De Niro’s profane rant against President Trump during Sunday night’s Tony Awards, saying the actor and the people who applauded him are unwittingly helping the president get re-elected.

Mr. De Niro received a standing ovation after he walked onstage at the star-studded affair and declared, “F– Trump.” Mr. Scarborough, an outspoken Trump critic, and his co-host Mika Brzezinski agreed during Monday’s edition of “Morning Joe” that it’s that kind of rhetoric that alienates voters and helps ensure a Trump victory in 2020.

“The low light of the evening, brought to you by Robert de Niro,” Mr. Scarborough said, Newsbusters reported.

Mr. Scarborough cited a tweet by MSNBC political analyst and former Republican strategist Steve Schmidt, who wrote Monday morning that Mr. De Niro squandered the opportunity to say something of substance.

Mr. Scarborough added, “If people that applauded De Niro’s statement last night don’t understand that they are helping Donald Trump’s re-election every time they do something like that, they don’t understand.”

“If your goal is to take down the president, it’s the wrong way to do it,” MSNBC correspondent Kasie Hunt agreed. “You’re playing right into his hands.”

“You’ll get him re-elected,” added Ms. Brzezinski.

MSNBC host and fellow Trump critic Stephanie Ruhle also denounced Mr. De Niro’s approach, though she admitted she understands his frustration.

“But when you think about what Americans care about, they care about the economy, they care about health care, they care about issues,” she said. “And many of them believe, whether he is or isn’t, that he’s delivering for them. When you see celebrities say I hope the economy bottoms out to get rid of Trump, I think that helps Trump.”

She also criticized comedian Bill Maher after he admitted Friday night that he’s “hoping for” an economic recession to bring down the president.

DeNiro's comment was blocked on our TV, but I assumed he said much as has been reported.

I think it is a disgusting thing to do, I condemn(ed) Trump for his use of this type of filthy tactic, and I condemn DeNiro as well... and to be clear, I disdain this behavior on a nonpartisan basis.

Au contraire, Mr. Al. I hope they keep it up all the way through November 2020. Everytime one of these out of touch elitists spew their hatred for Trump, America takes a step to the right.

Just look at what Bill Maher said. He hates Trump so much, that he wants millions of his fellow Americans to suffer, lose their jobs, lose their homes, go hungrey, etc., just to get Trump. How evil is that? The Republicans couldn't have dreamed of such fantastic campaign commercial sound bites.

at least a step away from the left fringe and toward left of center (where I am mostly, not totally, aligned...but they don't seem to have a message nor message carrier, so that is the real issue as of now for the Dems.

They didn't get this officially "unenrolled" voter last time, and right now won't get mine again.

On the right leaning boards, this has been discussed for the past year and a half. Congrates for seeing it, but hush now. We like how the Dems think "I hate Trump" is going to win elections for them.

As someone who claims to not like him as a person you may want to get that Glee out of your tone when you say that.... People may start to think you actually want him as your president.

I find it depressing. We're over 2 years away from the election, and you have said for a while that you don't like him. But you've not suggested that the Republicans nominate someone else... You're already steaming away on your little trump train....

Victor, Victor, Victor, I'm so sorry that I have not been clear to you on this issue, though I thought I had. More then likely, you've missed some of my posts, so let me clarify.

I've said many a time that I don't like him as a person. I feel he is arrogant, self-centered, childish and egotistic, but I hired him to do a hard job, and so far he's getting things done. Not as fast as I would prefer, but at least some things are being accomplished. Every time he tweets, I cringe.

I've said before that if I had a choice to sit down and have a cigar and beer with President Obama or President Trump, I'd pick Obama, as I feel he's a far better human being. With that said, I would never want Obama as my President again.

Sometimes you have to hire a person you don't like to do the dirty work that needs get done. I would bet Drafter's left nut (see what I did there?) that many who support and voted for Trump do not like him personally. TG has posted these exact same sentiments on this board, yet some here still imply that he drools over Trump.

If a no-nonsense, non-PC, gutsy non-politician wants to take on Trump in the Primaries, I would have no problem considering him or her.

I noticed that many on the left treated the Obamas as American Royalty and so they project that quality on Trump supporters. Yes, there are some "Trump droolers", but for the majority, nothing could be further from the truth.

... I'm just saying... It's your party, you could put a better human being through the primaries...

(Reread your last paragraph. You literally just did what you accused the "many on the left" of doing. Why would you assume that it was "many" treating the Obama's like royalty, and then say they project all trump supporters as doing the same?)

Notice I very rarely speak in terms of "many" or "all the.." I'm very specific. If I say it looks like tail has Cheeto dust on his lips, it's because I believe he does, not because I believe anyone who says they like something trump did does.
