Youtube video from a Boston Herald report. I didn't watch the video. Just saw the headline.

18 seconds of work and I found two non-boston globe references to counter protesters.

The huffinton post quotes the globe in their article.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/boston-straight-pride-parade-counter-protests_n_5d6c4cfae4b0cdfe05720ca3?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAD1lR0f4Z4A1idcbs6Ax4LKQWnyv3OAoKHQp_qcPnO51wHtKzShrdV6fqiukaWhZaUO5RKwcx4QEbqqzEjrel9kwTZ1Zo3n9SU9aJS3IdR3DH1rUaOlvBXWl-Is-RcsdjUcriBrqGCqW-QhDe_y27kZqAZPm2c3cq50YJGICCMQg

And if you didn't know before, you know now. the sight boston.com is run by the globe.
https://boston.cbslocal.com/2019/08/31/boston-straight-pride-parade-counter-protesters-city-hall/

So look beyond your recycle bin next time you want to make a point.

on my behalf, to me main stream media is (locally) The Boston Globe (had no idea there is still a Boston Herald, but wasn't that always the conservative's newspaper?) and the local tv channels connected to non-cable related networks.

so a couple or three things before I move back to the point of the story that is being covered:

you researched to prove your point AFTER you stated it as fact?

I considered this a local news item...200 marchers, 600 protesters, on the surface a story of little impact for me or elsewhere...until the story behind the story started to leak.

so two things, for now.

Do you have any thoughts on why this event really took place, or mostly the biased (there, but not here) reporting?

tail, mark down this moment in history...you win this side battle!

Just read my other newspaper, The Patriot Ledger, and it contained a version of the story from the Associated Press.

almost a split decision though, but I'll concede.

Headline: "Charges against some 'straight pride' protesters move ahead"
So far, one judge has me taking the match.

But most of the article that follows refers to them as "counterprotesters", though they are called protesters too. The writer(s) may be a little uncertain, it seems.

However, the article never refers to the marchers as protesters, interesting, but does say stuff like "...Saturday's parade, which was organized...as a counterpoint to gay pride festivals..."
One judge for you.

Now, though it is debatable whether it could be construed that the marchers were in fact protesting a lifestyle of which they disapprove (could a 'counterpoint' be considered a protest?)...making them protesters...I'll concede.

I'd really much rather hear more on the folks behind the scenes and their motives.

You're spending time worrying about what those idiots were thinking, while the DA is looking to override a judge because she agrees with the protesters politics.
You're worried about the wrong thing.

Stow Acres, the North course.
Played once last year too, but it was a nicer place 10, 15 years ago. I seem to recall the Stow's owners sold and then opened Butternut...maybe not.
But I hardly play anymore, lots of things hurt, so I grab a club here and there but love being on the course with friends.

If your game was better, maybe you wouldn't be hitting so many people* , and they wouldn't be getting so hurt...

*Really insensitive to refer to them as "things", regardless of how they identify

The original phonetic represention is perfect and priceless.
Everything about it. Perfect. Any modification only reduces it.

I beg you to reconsider. If not for me, then for everyone else.
For the future. For the love of God!!!

I’m against the children.
They’ve had it much too easy for much too long.
They should just grow up already.

I’m in the early stages of putting together a platform.
IZON for 2024 - GROW UP ALREADY!
My campaign is in it’s infancy, but with your support,
we can help it to mature

meanwhile, back at the ranch...

SJC ruled in favor of the DA vs Municipal Court judge.

DA wanted to drop charges against several of the nonviolent protesters (NOT called counterprotesters...HA!) while still prosecuting those accused of assaulting police officers.
The Muni judge insisted prosecutors arraign the others and DA Rollins claimed he was clearly overstepping his authority and ignoring long standing separation of powers.

The SJC agreed with Rollins, saying the prosecutor's sole authority to determine when to prosecute "has been affirmed repeatedly by this court since the beginning of the 19th century"...and cited cases going back to 1806.

Just wanted to keep followers in the loop.
