President Donald Trump tweeted an image of himself wearing a face mask and indirectly called the act "patriotic" on Monday -- a clear pivot away from his earlier reluctance to wear a facial covering in public.

Funny how POTUS "changed his mind" on this.

Could it have been the white house meeting with McConnell yesterday at the white house? Or Trump's re-election finance committee meeting, which he attended yesterday at his D.C. hotel?

The only thing I think could change POTUS' mind on anything corona-related are the polls showing americans are staunchly (like 70%) dissatisfied with his corona leadership.

that will be a question for posterity...

his turn-around on this issue will be another straw of inconsistency on the re-election camel's back...

joining all the other straws: China is doing a great job on the virus... it will magically disappear...hydoxychloroquine...I take no responsibility (early on)...I have to take responsibility (recently)...we did a great ban on people coming from China...we did a great job with the travel ban from Europe...bleach and disinfectant injections...UV lights inside the body...it's just the sniffles...like the flu...we'll do a great job if we have only 100,000 deaths...we've been doing a great job on the pandemic...we're in control...testing is the problem...we're taking too many tests...99% of the cases are totally harmless...anybody who wants a test can get tested...

and the big bale of straws: failure to develop a cohesive national pandemic response plan...this failure of leadership is becoming more apparent to people on the right...

even FOX News, which since the beginning has been the pillar of Trump media, is now questioning Trump's effectiveness in dealing with the pandemic
