1) First check to see that your humidor is sealing tightly. If it's leaking, it won't hold humidity.
2) Check and make sure your humidity gauge (hygrometer) is accurate. If you are using an analog gauge, toss it. Even if it's a digital gauge, it could be inaccurate. I have been making custom humidors for over 20 years and we always provide digital gauges when we deliver our units. However, even the digital gauges of late seem to be innaccurate and inconsistent oo. I believe Boveda has a system whereby you can accurately calibrate their digital hygrometer using a smart phone.
