Mod podge is what my wife used to glue to a mirror frame.

None. Most coolers are made out of polyethylene. Most glues don't stick to polyethylene. Try welding.

^this is true. I ended up using windshield glue for a cooler project I did years ago.

Hmmm... good thinking. Did the glue play well with paper? Did it actually bond or just kinda stick pretty good?

I've tried all different kinds of glues and adhesives but contrary to all their claims, nothing could really bond well and couldn't carry any kind of load (it was a non-cigar related task). Welding was not an option and adhesives didn't work.

It actually worked great. I was able to mount some plywood to the inside and then mount stuff onto the plywood.

I would think some sort of epoxy resin would work too but never tried it.
