This should be the law in the entire country. Period.

All law-abiding citizens over 21, with no legal reason not to (domestic violence, prior felonies) can carry, no permit required.

The law is unconstitutional. Direct from the Constitution.

Article VI
Clause 2
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

Uhhhm... yes it is. States' rights. It applies in Texas. AND might I add... the right of the people to KEEP and BEAR arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. So any laws to the contrary of THAT are unconstitutional.

Bear... meaning to carry. Classes, permits, fees... those things are infringements.

Cut and paste:

Supremacy Clause
"Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution is commonly referred to as the Supremacy Clause. It establishes that the federal constitution, and federal law generally, take precedence over state laws, and even state constitutions. It prohibits states from interfering with the federal government's exercise of its constitutional powers, and from assuming any functions that are exclusively entrusted to the federal government. It does not, however, allow the federal government to review or veto state laws before they take effect."

Well Spey if you think Texas is done giving Biden the big middle finger you would be quite wrong my friend.................................We've only just begone.

BTW this should be the law of the land in all states.........................If I've done no wrong why should I have to jump through hoops to practice my 2nd amendment rights

Whistle, I want Texas to keep pushing Biden. Harris should be at the border right now securing it. Whatever it takes. Biden should have already been there talking with border control to find out what it will take.

But the constitution is sacrosanct. That law will be overturned for the above stated portion of the constitution.

Personally my take is gun control is pointless. It doesn't take guns away from criminals, evil, or crazy people.

Our society is burning, and our government does not care.

1.Ditto

2.Not in Texas............Seceding from the union is a popular vehicle down here whether DC likes it or not.We stood at the Alamo under incredible odds to only defeat the mescan bastards at Battle of San Jacinto roughly one month later.Texas has and always will be Texas first

3.True ..............it arms them

4.Doesn't care or encourages it?

Yes, this clause only grants "supremacy" to the federal government on the seventeen specific functions of the government that are delineated in Article I, Section 8, period, (those that are "exclusively entrusted to the federal government") This power has been grossly abused by implying that the central government is somehow "supreme" in anything and everything it decides it has supremacy over. This of course has been the perfect recipe for tyranny. See Biden and the rest of the scum in D.C.

The remedy for federal tyranny is state interposition (nullification of unconstitutional federal laws) as laid out by Jefferson and Madison in 1798.
If all else fails to right the wrongs then secession is the final solution.
