Years ago, Jews were not allowed at the Orlando Country Club or The Orlando Economic Club. Club tennis team players would even refuse to play matches against the JCC team- on the JCC tennis courts.
So, a group of Jews and many socially and politically responsible leaders in town cut their ties with the Clubs, but the Clubs didn't flinch. Then, they took the Clubs to court to take away their liquor licenses on the ground that they were discriminating service of alcohol based on a fundamental right- religious belief.
I think that voting for whoever you want to is also a- fundamental right. And, if the restaurant hhas a liquor licence they could be treated the same way by the courts. And, I haven't even gone into their business and food service licenses.
Don't get me wrong, I really don't care about much of anything in DeBarry. It's kind of a **** hole IMO.
