probably just The Lovely Caren and me this year, maybe another couple...
There will be more Jews in that Chinese/Pan-Asian restaurant than at our old Temple on Yom Kippur.

In truth, we are skipping Chinese food this year, the lines are too long and I feel like I am exploiting the Asian workers.

The DED clan (22 of us) will be meeting about 3PM for a fierce, no holds barred, croquet and corn hole contest in 69 degrees sunny weather. As the sun sets and the temps drop into the frigid 50s the fir pits will be lit and the Mexican food feast will commence.

Doing a ham with some fixinn's tomorrow. When I say doing a ham with fixin's, I mean cooking not doing one in a van down by the river.

Don't worry about the crap that you have under the tree, just look around and see those who surround you. There is not enough money in the world that can replace good friends and families.

Merry Christmas everyone, I will be able to be home with the family for the holiday! They had us all working because of the weather but didn't lose power to many customers so they were able to keep up. So happy that I am home!

Bah humbug,

Making a couple loaves of bread for tomorrow. I love the smell of fresh baked bread. The Italian bread loaves came out perfect. Jury is still out on the pumpernickel loaves as the timer just went off to take them out of the oven. To date, I've been unsuccessful making two of my favs in the bread category: pumpernickel and sour dough.

Finishing up our smoke-mas. 2 racks of pork spare ribs, 3 racks of pork baby backs, 11.5lb pork shoulder butt, huge rack of beef dino ribs.
