younger daughter getting married next Veterans Day weekend at the Hemmingway location.
Hoping to fly down the Wednesday/Thursday prior (11/8 or 11/9) and stay a week.
Never been there.

Any experts here? VRBO? AirBnB? Hotel/Resort/Suite?
Walking distance to the venue would be a plus, but not a deal breaker.

I'm hoping to settle the housing issue soon.

Thanks in advance.

Frank, are you a vet or have base access? There are decent options on-base. Otherwise, pretty pricey most other places.

Frank, we stayed at a AirB&B about two blocks off Duval Street. Fantastic place with a large backyard pool, etc. I will try to find the name but it was about 3-4 years ago. About 1 mile from the Hemingway.

I stayed at the Navy Lodge on the base in 2015. That doesn't help you, though...

Yo Frank... First of all Congrats to your daughter and Family!!!

Key West is Expensive!! but worth the visit... This place is awesome and centrally located for walking distance to all the "Night Life" of Key West.
https://simontoncourt.com/

it's a historic B&B with 5 swimming pools and garden area for morning coffee & breakfast? I think it was around $260.00 a night? for a King bed with a balcony out over one of the main streets running through Key West.. one morning (around 3-4 am) I sat out on the balcony in my birthday suit smoking a cigar, drinking my beer and watching people stumble on by... Herfing

There is Public Beach's, not sure which one we went to, but it wasn't a far drive from the southern most bell spot. both years the beach was dirty with floating Debree. but you can walk the peir and swim. only the beachfront hotels pay to keep their beaches cleaned up. there's a restaurant on the public beach we go to and it has great food!!!

One place for Night Life that is our go to spot each year is "Hogs Breath Saloon" walking distance from the simontoncourt.. a cigar shpo by Margaritaville Pub.. (Expensive!!)

Mrs. and I got Married in Key Largo in June of 21. a buddy of mine that I trained in the military (Air Guard) he came into the unit at 18 fresh out of HS, went on to retire from the guard and as an EMT for St Louis County and was part of the diving team that searches for drowning victums 33 yrs. he now is a Diving Instructor in Key Largo and Capt. of his boat. I got ahold of him to marry the Mrs. and I. we were going to go 13 miles out into International waters for our Vows.. but the water all week was choppy 6ft waves so we got married on a floating Tiki Bar in a bay on the gulf side in Key Largo. and our Honeymoon and Anniversary spot is here:

https://pelicankeylargo.com/

We inquired about getting married on the beach at this place and they told us we would have to rent out all the cottages.. 32 units? to pricy for our budget... so we did the 90 minute Floating Tiki Bar tour for a couple Hundo's and got hitched in the bay there... LOL Mrs. even got to drive the boat!!! these floating bars are located at a bar/restaurant located walking distance from the cottages. Our buddy Mark as a Capt. can marry your daughter if your needing someone? He's an avid cigar smoker as well... LOL

eventually the Mrs. and I are going to be moving to one of the Key's for out retirement soon...

Hope this helps and again Congrats!!!

Rent the mini-bikes that are down there....

They are awesome...drive down to the southern most point of AMEEEEREEECA AND GET YOUR photo next to the big red bouy thingy... everyone does it...it proves you were there...

Go bar hopping and daiquiri shop hopping, do do drive...do it on foot... awesome party town...
We stayed in a stupid little hotel right downtown, kinda cheap? No idea what the name was?

decided to stay in the Kimpton hotel across the street from the wedding venue/Hemingway joint.
I think it's officially the Lighthouse Hotel.

Thanks for the guidance both here and in texts, emails, phone calls.

And MattieB, if you see this, I will give you a call again!
