Remember before the internet when we thought stupidity was down to people's lack of information?

Well...

Turns out it wasn't that way.

Oh yeah. And the internet would disconnect if someone needed to use the phone. 😂

I can remember getting an encyclopedia set in our home and thinking we had all the information at our fingertips and no more getting kicked out of the library because they were closing.

Said it before and I'll say it again, the Internet is the last bastion of total freedom.

The Internet opened up a flood of information and debate to people that otherwise would never be exposed.
Though some people benefited intellectually, some people stayed stuck on stupid.
The moral of the story is you can lead an idjut to knowledge but you can't make them think.

George Orwell would have looked at the internets and said "I told you so".

He would say Nineteen Eighty-Four was a warning, not a manual.

I think these internets polarize people - like the bears.
