Very disappointed in this cigar. I say it has to be the worst Rocky Patel I've had to date. Anyone else has a consistent problem with runs?

I smoked one of those this morning. Didn’t like it either. I smoke some rocky stuff but I don’t know of any that I find fantastic

I had a Rocky Patel cigar that was fairly good a long time ago.

I was specifically referring to the RP LB1. However, after I wrote this thread, the run stopped and the finish was not so bad. I guess its like bringing your car to a mechanic...the problem never occurs once they have it!

^The regular Edge were really good when they first came out. There was a vitola that was a relatively small, corona-ish size perfecto. Kinda like a coronatorpedo, maybe a little bigger. It's been so long, I can't remember exactly, but they were pretty excellent.

RP has had some good smokes in my opinion. I liked the Edge, the Sungrown and even the Indian Tabac Super Fuerte. Haven't smoked or bought any of them recently so I can't comment on if or how these blends have changed over the years but they use to be in my regular rotation.

Smoked quite a few of them over the years. Rocky Patel Edge Missile. 5", 48 ring torpedo. Nicaraguan filler and binder, available in both a Honduran maduro or corojo wrapper if I remember correctly.

Edit: A google search will find them at Mikes, JRs, and other places for around $8/cigar. Back in the day we use to be able to get them here on the bids for less than half of that price.

I'm pretty sure Rocky (Rockeesh) Patel has only actually made about 5 blends but 243 different cigar bands.

HA!!!
You are being generous…………..think it is more like 3 blends…

He is giving Hansotia a run for his money in the cigar band design industry though…

Most RP taste like burning newspaper with the exception of the decade that taste like artificial sweeteners and burning newspaper.

The Missile! That's it!

Not willing to pay $8 per though. Maybe $3, just for old times sake.
