Just a quick opinion from the group.
What percentage should i keep the humidor at? I have mine at 64%
Is it better to keep cigars wrapped or unwrapped while awaiting their fate.

Is Humidity a GAME to you!!!????

The answer will be different for the vast majority... it all depends on the relative Humidity where you live, how temp and humidity fluctuate in your area, the room you keep them in, they type of Humidor you use, the type of cigars you store, and your personal preference...

I store mine in coolers, they are stored in my basement that stays between 60-70 degrees year round and i target 65% humidity. i find this works best for me but it sill not always be the case for you.

Low 60's is good, coolers and tubs for storage. Humidors leak and lose humidity every time you open them, so a couple should be enough.

I use 65% boveda packs and I use way more than I need. I also recharge them. I keep them in a coolidoor that I set the temp at 62°F.

I think a lot has to do with how constant your temperature is. A constant 70 degrees F is nice but a bit lower may be even better. Of course, if you achieve that 70 degrees via non-stop air conditioning your room will be pretty darn dry. I live in the Northeast and my cigars are in an unairconditioned room. At 75 degrees, 59% RH is equal to 70% at 70 degrees. in the summer I am mostly trying to keep the RH down via propylene glycol which absorbs water above 70% RH. In the winter when the heated air is dry I am trying to raise RH. If the room gets to 65 degrees 83% RH = 70% at 70 degrees. Best storage RH and best smoking RH are different. Find where you like to smoke them and move what you intend to smoke into a drier RH box a few days ahead of time.

PS calibrate your hygrometer every other month with a salt test.

Similar setup to drglnc. After a brief experiment with clipping the ends of the cello a few years back, I just leave them wrapped

A bit less than 70F is a good idea for aging. 64-65RH is my preference. Some people age their cigars at like 65F/65RH. That would be ideal for my preference.

I have a needone set to 65* and its loaded with 65% Bovedas. Overflow in a tupperdor with 65% and whatever the temp is at the time, I don't monitor it. My desktop is usually what I smoke out of, It is a glasstop and usually sits around 67* and is loaded with 69% packs which usually keep it at around 65%.

Ideally for me i'd target 65/65 give or take, but I don't chase numbers as that will just get you in trouble

I run between 67-70 and around 70 degrees. As others have said you just need to figure out what you like but if you chase numbers all the time you will drive yourself nuts.
