Does anyone know if the blend has changed? I don't think they are as good as they used to be. I've been smoking them for years.

Rich...

It's been TWENTY THREE years!

You never called. You never wrote. Wait until Frank hears about this.

Anything AJ does now I’m hesitant…..last standard MOW I had wasn’t bad though, I prefer the corona which is actually a lonsdale.

I also used to refer to the Puro Authenticos as “Rat killers” those I grew out of because I went away from power bombs (sorry Captain Insane-O)

Current AJ product I will buy without hesitation is the New World Cameroon.

He made SUCH a B&M move I’m leery of his stuff, and he’s producing SO MUCH and has a relationship with General Cigar which always raises my “not gonna buy your 💩” flag.

Well this is a tricky question.
I’m purdy sure AJ has licensed out some of his stuff, but not sure about the MoW.

I used to smoke them a lot 10-12 hears ago, and even back then, I almost always let them sit for at least a year, often much longer.
Moved into the Ruination line, and same thing, good solid daily, for the coin, after a loooooong nap.
I think AJ has his own website now where you can see exactly what he is rolling for his own brand, and the stuff he does for others…….and he does a LOT for others.

And yeah, Frank is NOT gonna be happy…

The only MOW I care for right now are the side projects.

I haven’t bought any MOWs in at least 5 years, probably more like 6 or 7, so I wouldn’t expect the new ones to be anything like the ones I have. With that being said, my favorites are the smaller RG / shorter vitolas like the Corona, SP 52-C, Little Devils and PAM.

Totally agree with KOTC, for the most part, AJF cigars are great after a nice l-o-n-g deep nap.

AJ has been making some really nice small batch stuff for Privada. The last one I smoked was named Champagne, and it was one of the best cigars I've smoked in a while. It came in my 3-cigar-a-month box from Privada, so I looked on the website, but they are "backordered," which I'm pretty sure means there are no more. It was priced at $22 too! d'oh! Think I would have bought a fiver anyway.

So, Z, why don't you like The General? Is it just the quality of their cigars, or something else?

I used to smoke a lot of MOW Virtue’s. They were good, mild and at the time I thought they were tops! I haven’t had one in a few years but I do have a few in the Humidor and may actually break it out tonight.

I like the MOW. Haven't had one in a while. This had me looking in the storage. Got some Man O’ War Puro Authentico from here on the bids a couple years back. I'm a fan of Nicaragua cigars. Might be time to fire one up today.

Lee they seem to strive for mass produced mediocrity….and they don’t listen to customers.
