It’s approaching time for resolutions. Anyone making any? And don’t tell me that you are going to buy fewer cigars. Unless you’re Tony or Al, I don’t believe you.

Last year, I remember Jake wanted to use his desktop more. I don’t know if you did it, Jake, but you inspired me to use mine more. I still go digging through boxes sometimes, but when I do, I grab stuff to put in the desktop. I’d say I’m using it for at least half the cigars I smoke, and that’s increasing.

This year –
I have been given so many fantastic cigars by generous BOTL on this site. I want to regularly work them into my rotation, so I’m going to at least smoke a cigar that was given to me every Friday. If I don’t smoke on Friday, then the next time that I do smoke.

It would be fun if others joined me. Have gifted smokes to burn? Free Cigar Fridays?

I gotta smoke my gifts. But the. I don’t have duplicates. I like having duplicates. Then I smoke a winner just to find out they’ve been discontinued

I did however smoke all my smokes outta my desktop. This years resolution buy more good smokes.

I feel very loved looking at my gifts but I guess maybe the fellas feel good when I smoke the gifts they sent. I’m gonna work on that. Then get back into the trading game here That’s my resolution. More trades pib stuff.

We need to get those moving along again fellas. Let’s get this place moving again

I resolve to smoke more, dammit. I've had stretches of multiple weeks where I have not had a cigar. My goal is at least one a week for 2024, more if the wife's glare doesn't smite me

I won’t call it a resolution but I would like to smoke more gifted cigars but I also wanna smoke more of my favorites so that’s a tough juggle. WAG but I think I have at least a cooler’s worth of gifted smokes so roughly 300 to 400 cigars from BOTLs from here, another website and friends.

Iffin’ I smoke my usual amount of cigars next year, that’ll be around 300-ish so mebbe committing to smoking at least 1 gifted cigar a week will help cut into that inventory.

So yah, that’ll be my kinda, sorta 2024 NY Resolution - smoke 1 gifted cigar a week. I like “Free Cigars Friday” but Fuente Friday has already been embedded in my brain so probably be a weekend thing. We shall see…. Whistle

Also wanna resolve to buy w-a-y less cigars (…don’t have the mental fortitude to make an Ironclad Resolution…) and think that’s highly do-able. ThumpUp

My resolution is to smoke more of my gifted cigars from 2012 and 2014, and to send out some more aged ones that weren’t gifts. Unless they were from Wombat…..he only sends me internet cigars and Monte #2’s that sat in an ashtray outside overnight (yes true story).

I've resolved to complete the Ironclad Resolution, through April 17, 2024. Then I will unleash some pent up buying pressure and start with a few boxes...I hope that some of the places that offered good deals last year are doing the same this year...

My resolution for 2024, after the initial purchase, is to limit my monthly expenditure to two boxes/50 cigars per month...that will bring my consumption and acquisition closer to an equilibrium...don't wanna get back to 3,000+ stash of cigars
