Hello friends, I searched the forum topics for “Power hour” referring to the Cigarbid.com Tuesday Power Hour auction. I didn’t find anything so I’m posting a new topic.
I’ve seen some cigars offered that aren’t often available in large numbers such as Aging Room and I got prices that I was happy with. Have any of you noticed that Power Hour is a particularly good auction or do the prices in general get bid up high? What is your experience with Power Hour?

^ I concur. I get my best deals when I’m searching for something specific. They randomly will have what I’m looking for.

I just checked the Power Hour, which just opened. Man alive! The high rollers are out already.

Deal or no deal? No deal. Typically too much traffic.

IF there is something on CBid you want, pull down the Brands menu and see what auctions are coming up. Watch them. Bid early with your max bid set to what you think is a deal. Keep at it and you could eventually get the price you want. If you don't win and you have watched/bid a dozen auctions (or more), you're probably expecting a lower price than you'll get. Still, once and a while the one you want will come up and the stars will align and you'll win for a good price or maybe even a great price.

Never say this Power Hour deal before. I did hop over to check it out. Put in a bid on LGC Serie R No. 5 at my typical max bid threshold of 66% of Cigar International retail price but was out bid by a dollar at the last minute.

I have personal preference rules. Here on Cbid there is not much I bid on that works for me. I don't really shop here much nor really look at what's up for sale. When I get in the mood for replenishing average cigar inventory, my rules here are max bid of 67% of the CI price. If I win, that's fine. If I lose, no biggie. They will likely show up again

Besides, I have too many already and I shouldn't be buying more. I should be burning though what I have horded over the years.
