The second third has that salty twang I enjoy but not in large amounts. A bit of cedar throughout. Not a keeper but I didn’t hate it.

Quesada Oktoberfest and 40th Anniversary were 50% off yesterday at the small place but I didn’t bite. I’ve never tried Quesada and now I’m wishing I had picked up a couple fivers.

I've not tried either of those. The 15th Anniversary was my first experience with the Quesada brand. I was thoroughly impressed by it. I just ordered another five online after I posted.

Youse guys are in the Search ‘n Find Your Wheelhouse mode. The less you try, the narrower your horizon.

And to Jeebs’ post, FOMO is real but…be patient. Iffin’ they don’t sell out, the small place will offer them up for sale again. Typically they don’t change the discount so in a few weeks you’ll be able to get them at the same price.

I’m definitely in the search and find mode of operation and I’m slogging through the labels. I started with cheap stuff and working my way into more expensive boutiques as I learn what I like and what I don’t like. I will keep my eye on the small place sales and probably buy the Quesada if it comes up again. Thanks, Palama.

My first time with this brand. I’m looking forward to the next one and I hope it doesn’t have a tight draw like this one had.

81658 Karen Berger habano from darklord trade. Another total unknown. And I don't like most habanos, so I'm going in with an open mind but low expectations.

First light I'm impressed. It's not astringent, it's not a woody flavor, but there is some sawdust in the background. Pleasantly nutty maybe some coffee bean. But the texture is either one of age or a blend I'm into. Sweet creamy texture lingers. I'm into it. It's a good cigar.

After an ash drop or two the spice ramped up, but maintained a nice sweet earthy undertone. Some bitter nuts but not overpowering. Opened an A&W cream soda to help with that.

It's good. Dunno about $10 good but I certainly wouldn't turn one down if offered to me. Burn was uneven but self corrected every time as long as I rotated it. Went in expecting Don Lino level trash and was pleasantly surprised.

Well the email came again today and sure enough the 40th Anniversary and Oktoberfest were still on sale and I pulled the trigger.

81660 Foundation the Wise Man maduro. I've not had these but it was a semi educated purchase, I read reviews and stuff.

Starts off with a gritty dirty blast of msa harshness but thankfully it subsided quickly to a very chocolatey and toasted black pepper. I like it.

Don't get used to it, it's apparently changing blends

Yup they're going away. It's not good enough I feel the need to get more, but I'm glad I bought em.

It's in the lane I was into before I took a hiatus from buying and smoking cigars. It's not in line with the blends I'm currently enjoying so it scratched an itch, sated my curiosity, and when they're gone, they're gone.

Nice savory Corojo by Nestor Plasencia. Very easy draw, almost loose. Starts off with a very savory salty twang, peppery, light leather and earth, lightly sweet finish. I’m sure I caught a few puffs of BBQ or teriyaki in there. Middle third mellows out leathery and earthy with a touch of nutty, still lots of thick buttery smoke. Last third picks back up like the first third w/o so much pepper until close to the nub where it suddenly gets very very hot. It is a terrific Corojo at this price point.

Any idea if the tabernacle is changing? That's like the wise man on steroids. Awesome cigar if you like full strength.

Toker hasn’t smoked a cigar in over 6 hours. Jake, check the local drunk tanks and county jails. Danm, can you canvass the emergency rooms in the are? I’ll call all of the morgues. Is there someone we can dispatch to conduct a health and comfort visit? Constable or Sheriff?

81665 (simultaneous posts a few back) - SD Ladykiller lonsdale. Every time I smoke these, I like them more. Habano maduro wrapper, corojo binder, 2 types of criollo in the blend, all in a perfectly-sized 6.5 x 46 vitola. Just an excellent cigar that makes me want to throw my panties on the stage.

81668 - Pardon 1964 - great as always
81669 - Puro Desnudo N6 Canonazo - love these
81670 - LA Palina El Ano 1896 Oscuro - if it weren't for the construction issues on these (batting 4 out of 7 smoked so far having bad underfills) these would be a great inexpensive cigar. This one was fine, so maybe a bad batch, but makes me hesitate to buy more for sure.

Shoulda bought (...a lot...) more when they were being cleared out by a different retailer a couple years ago. Paid a little over $4 for them.

81672 - Chinchalle

I have been through a few boxes of these and construction has always been stellar until now. This one had a firm draw and little smoke production. A quick pinch on the head and all is well.

This one started with a lot of pepper and that subsided greatly in the first half inch. After that it was a little savory w/o much flavor to speak of. I thought I really enjoyed these but this one was meh.

81678 - Warped La Colmena Black Honey
After my last experience I have been anxious to try again. I had to know if it was an anomaly or not. Out of the wrapper this one felt very different. Definitely more firm, and no small divot at the foot. After a small touch up at the beginning, the burn has been perfect. And no voids seem to be present in the ash like the last one.

81678 puro desnudo canonazo N6 from cbd I like it. This is a way better cigar than the lanceros I got a couple few years ago. The “ebony+ivory” bundle. I thought they were just smokeable. Put me off from ever buying more. If I remember correctly they were around 8$ each and I felt scammed. I need to smoke another to see if time did them any good

Thanks cbd good smoke

I've had several puro desnudo cigars over the years and they are definitely one you buy and bury for a few years before smoking otherwise you wasted money. Wish I'd kept up with buying a bundle every year so I'd always have some. Just smoked my last one from 2019 a few weeks ago.
