Rick --- it was once US Vice President Thomas Marshall who was able to observe, "What this country needs is a really good 5-cent cigar.".

Slim, Rick, and then Will Rogers said: "This country has plenty of good 5 cent cigars". "The problem is; they all cost 15 cents"!

Funny thing is, I read the initial post and went to the site without reading subsequent responses ... I noticed that one RM of La habra, CA had bid on these and his auto-bid presently stood at $3.00 ... I knew immediately who was bidding on these, and had that confirmed in returning to the post to read the various responses ...

It strikes me that the title of this thread is dead wrong ... I think marketing should be given praise for truth in advertising ... the description sure hasn't stopped bidding from taking place and those to whom cigars are shipped cannot come back later and say they were mis-led in any way ...

Used car salesmen at the "lumpy lots" (dealers who sell real crap cars) say that there's "an ass for every seat" ... I look to eleltea to translate that into appropriate phraseology for the dog-rocket cigar industry ...

... they've had these 'truth in advertising descriptions' several times over the years.

I also find them hilarious, and it's refreshing to to find a company that is not afraid to 'tell it like it really is' ...

... it kind of makes up for the 'stinkers' they put up with these outrageously wonderful descriptions you see every now and then ... LOL!

Why not? Heheh. $8.50 gets you a cigar you can smoke during a storm and never have to worry about ruining it. The box might be worth something.
