Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking to an owner of a Cigar Line that is now selling their products here and at CI. I also had given him a list of friends that I THOUGHT would enjoy his product. He in return sent them a gift package. Yes, word did leak out and now his COMPANY is getting swamped with phone calls for their packages. If you didn't get one...DON'T CALL AND DEMAND YOURS!!!! I arranged WHO were to receive. Now it has become a nagging issue. Please do not bother them, it not only looks bad on you for MOOCHING but for myself and the others, it lowers ourselves to think that we could have fellow herfers like you.

I can see that things have got out of hand, due to a previous post here that had mislead many into thinking that Bucanero had a 'free promotional offer' going on ... and that they were sending out samples.

There is no such offer going on at this time ...

Coach was thoughtful enough to hook some people up, but as he already explained, that was his doing ... and was not something Bucanero was promoting. Coach was just being a nice guy ...

What bothers me, and it's already been said ... is that there were some individuals that called and were actually 'rude' to the telephone receptionist when they were told that no such offer exsisted.

That's sad ... really sad ... and maybe an (private) apology to Bucanero might just be in order. But that's just my thought on it ... but, I'm sure that anyone who would go so far as to get rude with the 'receptionist' over something that they thought they were getting for free ... most likely ... apologies aren't part of their character make-up ...

The rude part is completely uncalled for, but I can see why someone would want to call and inquire if they thought there were some freebies out there. If you were one that called, especially if you were one of the rude ones, please step up and do the right thing - call this company or e-mail them (I'll bet they have a "Contact Us" link on their website) to apologize.
Bucanero Cigars is a class operation, and it's refreshing to see people like their president so involved and passionate about their work. But hey, people, just as in your own business, you can't stay in business long if you spend all your time giving out free stuff.
To Bucanero Cigars: I personally apologize for those here, or elsewhere, that think they can bitch and moan when things don't go their way. Please don't take offense to those that inquired but weren't rude; I'm sure they were just excited about the possibility of grabbing freebies of the latest "big buzz" cigars. You, Bucanero Cigars, are pure class, and we appreciate all you've done and continue to do. If any here weren't fortunate enough to have been sent a few samples by way of Coach's list, let me tell you, you should jump on a bid here and get some! These cigars (let the over-bidding officially begin!) you've gotta try. Hey, grab a 5-pack as "your samples" and see what you think.

Sheer madness comes to mind while I read this thread. If you ever had their products you'd know that this was a "top shelf" outfit. After actually meeting them and getting to hear them share their passion and history as a company in producing a quality product only one word come to my mind. Honesty. You can't fake it. It can't be bought. It can't be attained by any other artificial means except through stripping all pretenses and treating people not as customers but as valued partners.

This is the way some "people"(I use that term very generously)have taken their(meaning Bucanero) generosity towards some and have perverted it into some "freebie" giveaway! That could be the farthest thing from the truth. Grow up, and act like MATURE adults, instead of little baby birds always screeching for something more with an open mouth wide towards the sky.

These are unselfish people that don't deserve to be dogpiled by freeloaders. Don't misunderstand me or what I'm saying. Robert and John are genuine gentlemen's gentlemen. If anything, you should write or call them and THANK them for selling to CBid! They have a limited production and for them to allow their product here not only flies against what is on their website, about not selling their product online. Whomever took upon themselves to berate anyone at the company should stand up and offer their apology.

Life is way too short for this kind of behavior. With that said, smoke 'em if ya got 'em!
