OK Cigarbid Gods:

Some of my favorite (medium-full) Maduros are Padron, PAM, ERDM, Hoyo, Excallibur, Ult., Cupido, Mayorga, La Perla Habana. I am looking to try some other cheap to medium priced9($2-5 per stick) brands(maduro) that are regularly offered on Cigarbid to try. I just scored a 20 pack of Montague for $13 that I am waiting to try. Any other suggestions?

I would recommend Montesino, I picked up a five pack of the robustos for $12 dollars. El Mejor, IMHO is tolerable for a very cheap everyday smoke but stay away from the fidalgos. Yuk, harsh as hell cored badly even after monthes in the humi, oh, and let's not forget, the die in the wrapper will turn your lips and hands black, don't smoke this one out in public.
well, that's my 2 cents. ~Bill

Bill is right on about the Montesino's,but try the Pyramids. He's also right about the Fidalgo's. X

punch maddies are very good also, but they are sorta similar to erdm/hoyo/erdm as they are made by the same factory. also the bolivar fuerte oscuros. deeeeee-lish!

ditton Wouldie's opinion of the Bolvar Fuertes, although they could scarcely be thought of as medium bodied IMNSHO

You definitely need to try the La Rosa Especial Mi Favorita maduro. Everyone I've recommended that to has liked it.

A really nice value-priced maduro is the Lempira maduro. I recently picked up a five-pack and have really enjoyed them.

Well I tried the one of the Montague maduros from the 20 pack sampler I won last week. My review is as follows: Constuction-OK , Value - Very good @ 97 cents per stick including shipping, Draw - Very good, Taste -Light and a little harsh for a maduro. This doesn't rate as one of the better maduros bargin in my humble opinons. I think that I have been spoiled by the likes of my fav maduros (Padron, Cupido, Mayorga, Hoyo,). The bottom line is for under a buck a stck it's a keeper as a "Yard Gar"
