I notice many smokers keeping a lit cigar in the mouth for long periods of time. When I do this the smoke goes into my eyes, and it is hard to breath at all. How do they do it (i.e. Tony Soprano)? I am on my back porch right now doing some work and trying to smoke while using both hands to work, and the smoke is all over me. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to sack up and adjust to the smoke in my face?

You have what is commonly known as "smoke in the eyes" syndrome. As a result, you will have to give up this addictive habit that we all share and send your cigars to Steve!

Those are also the guys that chew on the butt. Try exhaling harder or smoking longer cigars?

I shift the cigar to one side or the other. Keep the wind at my back.

i think my keyboard is full of ashes. i think many of the presents i wrapped have ash in the boxes. if i ever took a cigar out of my mouth, my teeth would fall out.

the only time i have a non-lit cigar in my mouth is when i shop. i love it when security asks me if i'm smoking "that" cigar and i say no, and they walk away confused.

speaking of shopping, i will start a new thread.

smoke gets in your eyes, "ink spots"

I can't hold a cigar in my mouth neither, lit or unlit. The smoke from the lit end is too nasty for me and the other end gets all chewed up and soggy with spit. Gross. I guess there's reason why God made ash trays.

..some cigars exhaust more smoke than others...turn into the prevailing breezes...trim your sails...puff away.

Guess I'm not too cool. I use an ashtray.

A friend smokes the longest cigars he can find to keep the smoke away from his face.

When gardening I try to smoke corona sized cigars. I get less drool on the vegetables.
