I love the CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon line. In my opinion, this cigar is close to perfection. I haven't tried the maduro line yet. I'm looking forward to it. I would whole-heartedly recommend the Cameroon line to anyone looking for a quality smoke.
Opinions?

I like most of the cameroon line. The robusto is my personal favorite. The only stick that I think is lacking in the careroon line is the corona, but CAO make up for it by producing a great maduro corona.

Yeah, it's nice. Nice and "spicy." However, I really like the maduro line. It's really full-bodied, just the way I like it.

I also love both lines (particularly the Maduro line)and have bought several boxes of both lines in the past but a cheaper (in $$$) alternative to the Cameroon line that I just tried and was very impressed with is the Flor De Oliva Grand Cameroon line (which coincedentally CI sells)...Its a box pressed Nigaraguan with a Cameroon wrapper...Almost identical to the Cameroon line of CAO Aniversaire in taste and construction..Anyone else try them?

I won a five pack of these Flor's to try them. The cameroon wrapper was yummy, but the rest of the cigar was a bit harsh and young, so I will wait some time before trying another, to let the rest of the cigar catch up to the wonderful cameroon wrapper. In fact I am pretty confident they will get better I won a box on auction cheap about a month back.

I just rec'd a 5 pack of the Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon Churchills (ordered on Rookie139's recommendation). I must say that I really like them.
You can't beat the price. They are half the price of the CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroons. I still prefer the CAO, but the Flor De Oliva are a good alternative.

My absolute favorite, the robusto and belicoso are the best. The corona is a little weak. The maduro belicoso is just as good. The other camaroon I like is the La Unica #1 torpedo.

As good as the Cameroon CAO's are, the maduros are far superior. The cigar is richer and more flavorfull than the Cameroon, and the maduro wrapper is very attractive, if you're into that sort of thing. Remember: Maduro over Cameroon.

scale of 1 to 10.
Cameroon gets an 8 and the maduro gets a 12.

I like the CAO Camaroon but not on my favorites short list. I think I’ve got a fiver of a CAO Maduro in one of my sistema containers, awaiting its day of execution.

If you like Cameroon wrapper then make sure you go through the Fuente Hemingway, Don Carlos and the LFD Cabinet Cameroon #1

Z, I’ll definitely put it on the top of my list. I don’t know if I’ve seen that on CB but maybe CI has it. I appreciate the recommendation brother

I found CAO's cameroon to be OK, but not a cigar I'm looking to buy again. Haven't tried the maduro other than the MX2.

So far these cigars are out of stock or I can find these by the box only. Next time I visit a BM in town I’ll have to check out some singles. That’s probably going to cost a fortune

Also the Fuente 858 Natural is a lower cost option that’s more readily available.

The cigar you're taking about on the OP...and the one you smoked...they're NOTHING alike. They're like saying I smoked the South Pole and the North Pole and said it tastes the same!

Seriously.

If I had a time machine, I wouldn't waste it on you posting an old thread and thinking it's the same. I'd bring back the guys that posted OG. Those fiends. Those wizards. Those rapscallions and raconteurs that used to peruse this place. Man, I didn't post for almost 6 months on this site after joining back in the late 90's! The sheer muttering what I thought would've been like a fart in a kiddie pool to those guys. They were sage with wisdom back then.

Jeebling, you;d better be one of them or stop raising the "Titanic". You know not what you're doing and lack the tastebuds to know the difference between paint thinner and syrup. I mean this too. If you are "someone" from long ago...admit it. See if CBid will "work it out"...if not tell us...maybe one of us can...get "management" to reinstate you. THAT process won't just involve me though. No, it will have to be verified by others. Questions asked. Your answers. Verified. Not just me.

Hope you save your addresses. You're likes. The people that...well...you know. Then it gets passed around.

What you think you're doing...think about it.

The CAO Cameroon is a very nice smoke! Score them here for around $3per max bid and enjoy!
