There was a certain item that I covet on the merchandise board the other day. Armed with the knowledge that this item can had for $45 anytime I set my personal limit at $40 as I had other items to be shipped to me anyway. 2 of these coveted items were up for auction and the price was up to $29 at 10 min. before the close of that auction. My opposing bidders were using auto-bid. Well after each bid I saw that I was still out bid. End result?: I dropped out at $41 but succeeded in substantially raising CB's profit on this item thereby financing future good deals for all of us. I'm so altruistic.

Naa, I guess it's really a backhanded slap at our overbidding buddies. We should be thanking them for their subsidy of of our inventory. They may beat us out of a prize now and then, but their generosity keeps us going.
BTW, I scored that item (Colibri ATL) yesterday for $31. Thanks again, guys.
