I got these at another site ... for $9 ... I figured at that price, I couldn't go wrong for an everyday cigar. Anyone tried these, and know who makes them? The are coming from Jewelery Direct, of all places ...

(50) Premium Brand Full Leaf Hand Rolled Churchill Cigars

Manufacturer's Part # DJMCHURCHILL
This product is Brand New.

QUICK GLANCE

50 Hand Rolled Premium Cigars
Full Long Leaf Nicaraguan/Dominican Blend
For the cigar aficionado, the small business, or the office humidor, this is an amazing buy exclusively from Egghead.com. To offer these cigars at these incredible prices we are required by the manufacturer not to mention the brand name and not to use their label, and we will respect this.

The quality, taste, smoke, and appearance of these premium cigars is outstanding. The cigar is hand rolled with a full leaf, not chopped, cazadore blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco, with a Cameroon seed Sumatra wrapper. The size is 48 x 7 Churchill, the packaging is bare minimum, unlabeled, and bulk packed at 50 to an order. These are premium cigars, fresh and perfectly rolled. If we could mention the brand you would recognize these in the stores throughout the United States selling for between $5.00 to $9.00 per cigar.

For 9 bucks, sounds like you got a deal, even if they become give-aways. Obviously, these would never sell for the $5-$9 range quoted, since they are Hand Rolled, and not hand-made. As for the term "fresh", I wonder if that means "lack of aging"? You MUST keep us posted, because if it ain't me gettin the deal, I want it to be one of you's. BTW, where did you find an auction site without our gang of over-bidders? (sorry, couldn't resist)

There is a difference between 'hand-made' and 'hand-rolled'? I thought they were 'one-in-the-same' ... as far as the 'suggested price', I'm sure that was what they were asking back in the 'cigar boom'. Sorry about all the extra garbage I posted. I guess I copied more than I intended to paste ...

Hand made is constructed 100% by hand. Hand rolled uses machines to gather and bunch the inner stuff (filler and binder), and the wrapper is then rolled over by hand. You shouldn't be able to taste the differnce since it's long filler, but it takes out the "art" of cigar making and obviously costs less per stick.

Thanks for the info ... I learn something new every day. What I would like to know, is there some way to find out who makes these by the Manufacturer's Part # DJMCHURCHILL? DJM seems to be the key here. Anyone here know what that stands for?

DJM ... could it be 'Don Juan Marti'?

DJM clearly stands for "Dont Jinx Me". These cigars are bad luck, brother! You have to dispose of them immediately upon receipt. May I suggest burning them one by one until there are no more left. Perhaps you could invite 49 of your closest friends...
