I just won. Probably the cheapest and best I've done so far on Cbid. Won a 5 pack of El Mejor Maduro Robusto's . . . for $4.00!!!!

Hope these are okay. I can't wait to try one to see if they're worth my $7.95 (that's $1.59 per stick). I "wanna be like Rick". I'll let you know :)

What you paid for the El Mejors is about what they're worth. Be sure to drybox 'em a couple of days before smoking.

If you''ve won one lot, check out the rest. You might see something else you'd like to try. CBid reduces shipping charges on additional lots.

JR: Thanks for the information. I'll drybox these for a week or two before lighting one up.

jff ... do yourself a favor ... put one of them away until at least St Paddy's day, tax-man cometh day or even longer ... then give it a shot and compare if you can to your reaction now ... I lit one of those just this past Saturday that I'd got back in June or July ... a much better smoke now.

What do you mean by "dry boxing" them?

jerrya --- set them out awhile before smoking them. Some cigars tend to be a little over humidified.

I got a box of Oliva 'O' Maduros a week or so back, and smoked one out of the box. It was so damp ... it wouldn't stay lit and was hard to draw on.

Maduros seem to smoke better if they are around 65% Rh ...

$1.59 a cigar. pretty steep even if that includes shipping. "dry boxing" sounds like something i remember from high school, but i can't remember exactly what.

Rick, look up "frottage" in your funkinwagnalls.

I used to cry Wahoo everytime I saw a sign that said Frottage Road, and there were a lot of them, until one day I realized they all said Frontage Road. Oh well.

2.a. A method of making a design by placing a piece of paper on top of an object and then rubbing over it, as with a pencil or charcoal.

or did you mean the first definition?

Steve, your dictionary has the positions reversed. Of course, it's a good idea to reverse positions once in a while.
